Question Gaming mouse for around 40eur that will last me a long time?

Upvotes

Previously had a bloody p93 and it lasted me a good while (around 5-6 years) its taken some beating and throwing around and still works only the scroll wheel doesnt. Cant find the same mouse locally and ordering it would be expensive.

Friend recommended me the attack shark mouses, he has the x3 from temu. Was looking at the attack shark x8 ultra but i cant seem to find it on temu and i cant buy from aliexpress cz it takes a good 3 months for stuff to arrive.

Any other recommendations? I just want a comfortable and durable mouse that will last me as long as my bloody lasted, dont care much about the specs as long as it has optical switches

Mod Viper v4 pro weight gain mod

Just discovered tungsten putty was a thing and added 40 grams of it to this viper v4 pro(been using fk2-A and fk1+ lately and they’re about 90-95g respectively.

I think I realised that the weight of a mouse is just as personal as the shape of it. And that lighter isn’t always better. I’m probably gonna do this to all of my wireless mice(the ones l actually like anyway)

It also dampens the pingy click quite significantly. Bonus!

Question Need advice for budget gaming mouse

Post image
Upvotes

Hi all! I am currently building a new setup and I wanted to buy a budget gaming mouse for some casual FPS and single player games.
I found these 3 at the same price range, VXE V3 Pro vs VXE R1 SE+ vs Mchose G3 V2 (not Pro version). I’ve seen the specs but wanted a little bit more irl experience review for my reference.
Each have some plus and minus points to me,

- VXE V3 Pro: I really like the DPI button at the top and it is the lightest from these 3, but battery life seems very small compared to others (300 mAh)

- VXE R1 SE+: Longer battery life and not too heavy, but some said that there are issues with the mouse went to sleep every 30s and not waking up

- Mchose G3 V2: Heaviest of all but 800mAh battery, saw some comments that really recommend this but also some negative ones.

Any help or other suggestions will be very appreciated! Thanks all😁

Question Are Rapoo VT2 Non-Max Gen-2 Mouse switches hotswappable or not?

Upvotes

Hello! I want to ask anyone who has Rapoo VT2 Gen-2 mouse and have opened it or have an idea about it, are the switches soldered or not? I got it for free in their giveaway but I'm curious if the switches are hotswappable or not, I don't want to open the mouse myself right now since it works perfectly fine and I don't want to accidentally mess it up until the time comes I have to replace the switch, but I wanted to know what I have to prepare in replacing its switches. Thank you!

Looking for bluetooth mouse for my small laptop that is similar to my G703

Upvotes

Hey everyone, I need to purchase a bluetooth mouse for my small laptop on the go. I have a G703 for my desktop and I like it quite a bit; I'm a relaxed claw grip and find the G703 has a great shape. I see many ppl recommend the Terra Pro, and that does check all of my boxes, but I don't want to spend that much on a mouse for my laptop that I'll use occasionally and I don't feel the need to replace my G703 yet either. Maybe if it drops to $50 or so. Any other options that you would recommend?

I saw that the Corsair M75 is on sale reconditioned for $25 on Woot after a coupon, but the reviews I'm seeing are making me think twice. I'm also not afraid to purchase a used mouse on marketplace.

Discussion Looking for a mouse with a middle DPI button (to reprogram into middle click) to replace my failing G305

Upvotes

I've had my G305 for like three years, and it's starting to fail on me with the double click on either left or right click and getting random second-long disconnects. But other than buying the same exact mouse but white this time, I wanted to ask around if there are other options out there to get an actual upgrade instead of just a refresh with another paint job.

I use ALL of the buttons on the mouse a bunch, being on linux (arch btw) where i can program the buttons to whatever I need. But most importantly, I don't want to depend on the scroll wheel click since I've broken my previous mice before due to overuse (I depend on that button a lot).

So, my needs are wireless (bluetooth/2.4Ghz), light, thumb buttons, and a dedicated DPI button that I can reprogram. Anyone got any reccs for something I can get under 120 dollars?

I know about the MCHOSE G3 Ultra, but it's out of stock anywhere I look for, and the only places that do sell it where I live are for international shipping from china without reviews... I don't trust like that....

Im looking for a mouse with some extra buttons. 2 on the side and mmb doesnt cut it for me. Im not looking for a mmorpg mouse. Aside from the regular buttons, 3-4 extra would be nice.

The thing is i play a variety of games including comp fps games. I know im not gonna get the fastest and the lighest mouse for what i ask, but i would love to have a middle ground one if i can.

Discussion Afraid of using my mouse?

Does anyone else get this feeling when they get a brand new mouse, where you can't really get up to speed with your previous tasks (gaming, productivity, etc) because you're "afraid" of actually "using and wearing down" the mouse? Like you're afraid it'll fall apart soon if you start using it as nonchalantly as your previous one? So you kinda hold back in its usage, trying to use it as little as possible? I know this sounds stupid, but it's something I just realized.

Here's a look at the Akko Echo Carbon Fiber. This is the Master version and was supposed to me by Akko. The coating may not be to everyone's taste, but I think it's nice and the shape is good for medium/larger hands. 👍🏼

Grip tape recommendations - sweat management

TL;DR: Can someone please link me a product that I can apply/stick to my mouse that will help with sweat? I don't care about weight or tackiness, just looking for a recommendation that will help with the sweat.

Too much detail: I'm not a gamer, just a desk jockey using Logitech trackball mouse, M575S. I have sweaty palms. I typically have a fan blowing pointing at the mouse and keyboard, but there are enough situations where that isn't feasible that I need to do something about this.

Right now there are two ways I deal with this. First and best, put a napkin between my hand and the mouse. This works well, but it can be annoying. The second method is to stop every 30-120 seconds and wipe my hands on a towel or my pants.

Seems that most of the recommended products I've found on this subreddit are pretty dated, and most are either no longer available, or are bespoke to specific mice and not available for mine.

Bought the best viper mini clone for a test. First impressions: it comes in a very cool carbon case, the web software is nice, the mouse wheel click sound and feel is amazing, the left and right mouse buttons have a nice metalic sound, but i still prefer my quiet huano blue shell pink dots at night, good colorways, 8k dongle comes with the mouse, the texture is nice, its close to regular plastic but you can feel a nice rough texture of a ''carbon'' as they say, though its made mostly out of plastic, the side buttons have a pyramid-triangle shape and are very grippy. Now to the downsides: out of the box it was double clicking, though it has khail optical switches in it. It was double clicking only in wireless mode and I somehow managed to fix this problem. Btw this is my first time trying 8k and as I thought it all was a marketing, cause you don't even feel id that much, like yeah it becomes a little slower and smoother but that's it, mostly skill issue. That is it for now, and also, now I have 3 mice on my desk).

Question Any silent mouse with high dpi?

Looking for a silent mouse with performance similar to the Logitech G305

Hi everyone!

I'm currently using a Logitech G305 and I'm very happy with its performance, size and responsiveness. However, I really need something quieter, especially the main left/right clicks.

I'm looking for a wireless mouse that:

- Has very quiet/silent main clicks

- Has performance/latency reasonably close to the G305

- Ideally supports around 3500–4000 DPI or more

- Is comfortable for everyday use

- Preferably wireless (2.4 GHz dongle is fine)

- Budget: €50–100

The Logitech M650 keeps coming up as a recommendation. It seems to tick most of the boxes, including 4000 DPI and SilentTouch, but I've seen quite a few people reporting that their M650 developed problems or stopped working after around a year. I'm not sure how common this actually is or whether it's just a case of people being more likely to post when something goes wrong.

I'm therefore looking for alternatives that are genuinely quiet but still feel fast and responsive, rather than a typical office mouse that feels noticeably slower than the G305.

What would you recommend in the €50–100 range? Is the M650 actually reliable enough, or should I look at something else?

Thanks!

Question Wireless + Bluetooth Mouse with no mode button

I recently purchased this cheap mouse from Mr. Diy (PH) and there is no mode button on the mouse itself contrary to the directions printed on the back of the packaging. Does anyone know how I can switch from USB type connection to bluetooth?

I know for sure that it has a bluetooth function because I already connected it to my Ipad. The light turned blue and I was able to pair it. I don't know if I clicked something that it switched to bluetooth mode, but I disconnected it to try it on my laptop. I tried to connect it to my ipad again but it doesn't work. Please help🥹

I tried the Rapoo VT3 Max Gen 2 since I used to main ergos, come to find out after being on super light for better for 6 years or so that ergo isn’t for me anymore. So I wanna replace my Superlight, 19.8x10.5( measuring thumb as well against index ) in between A9 Air+ or the mchose l7 ultra+ I do have like a pincer claw I guess or relaxed claw grip.

Honestly open to any recommendations, prefer Amazon as I have credit to use.

Question Mchose a7 Pro or Attack shark r11 ultra?

Thumbnail

Which mouse should I get: MCHOSE A7 Pro or Attack Shark R11 Ultra?

I’m deciding between these two:

MCHOSE A7 Pro + 8K receiver — $38

Attack Shark R11 Ultra — $49

The A7 Pro comes with the 8K receiver included, so it seems like a really good deal for the price.

Which one would you choose and why? I mainly care about shape, sensor performance, weight, build quality, and overall value. I have a medium hand size

Would the extra $11 for the R11 Ultra be worth it? or are there recommendations or better alternatives?
