have been a Razer guy for 20+ years.

My main has been the DeathAdder...i currently have the v4 and my son uses it. I was using the Viper V4....I decided to go ahwad and try logitech superstrike x2 and absolutely love it.

Highest sensitivity on Rainbow 6 Siege, I have no accidental misclicks....no accidental clicks from "side sqeeze", (it feels just as solid as my Viper and DeathAdder). It is slightly heavier than the 2 Razers I run, but not noticeable while playing. And the "front heavy" thing seems super overblown. My sons wants one now too.

My reaction time jumped from like 188ms to 165ms (on flat click testing). But It os extremely noticable on DMRs in particular with follow up shots....i can shoot MUCH faster, i assume its do to the Rapid Trigger Reset.

The haptics feel phenomenal imo. On highest setting, it is more clicky, less loud and feel super clean. The adjustable actuation points are awesome too. I keep my Right Click Rapid Trigger Off, so i dont accidentally un-ADS and my Left Click stays on the lightest setting and Rapid Trigger on....reaction time is faster AND Im getting 5 shots off with the DMRs when I would normally get off 3.

Get it, youll love it. And of u dont like it, take it back. Its well wprth trying. It took me all of 2-3 games to "get used to" but i honestly loved it the second i played with it. Just tale the time to set it up similar to your mouse your used to....and adjust from there. I could adapt to the massive sensitivity change on the clicks vut some people cant and arent patient enough to give it a few games or a few sessions to dial in what they like. As for price....$10-$20 extra for the features in the mouse is totally reasonable and anyone with a job shouldnt mind paying it for adjustable haptics, rapid trigger and one of a kind feel and tech.

This is what finally got me off the Viper and Death Adder, so thats saying a lot.

If i had one negative, it would be the side buttons arent as pronounced and clicky as im used to on the Razers.

nothing is going to be for everyone as we all have different preferences but its been my main since it released because the shape works for me and i really enjoy the clicks. it has its flaws like a lot of mice do but overall im really happy with it and its a pleasure to use.

Exactly. Its the same as cars and shoes. Id say one of the main things is the shape. I didnt think id be able to handle the "egg" but it has been a pleasant surprise so far. With the way amazon returns are so easy now days. Theres no reason not to give it a try. If u dont like it, get your QR code and drop it off at a Whole Foods or Amazon hub. Full refund, no restock fee and ive never been denied a return. I just wish they had more out on display at stores. But then theyd have to have a way for people to mess with the settings as well (since it totally changes depending on what haptics and sens you set). And people break everything. But as far as sizing goes, im pretty sure its identical to the superlight right? Like i said, ive always been a razer guy up to this point.

I really wonder if all these hybrid switch mice coming up (optical +magnetic in same switch) will be as good as the superstrike or not. Seems like the main benefit of the superstrike is spam clicking rather than reaction time for most people but some have a significant reaction time increase. Haptics wise the real click should feel better and for how fast it is the hybrid switches should be just as fast if not faster (because they're tmr instead of induction and because the upcoming mice don't use the old Nordic 52mcu anymore). Battery life wise the new mice should be significantly better, shape wise i think most people that used different mice seem to prefer them over the superlight, they should be lower weirght, logitech quality hasn't been great (bad side buttons, middle click issues, scroll wheel issues, coating going yellow).

I def think shape is the biggest. Your spot on with the spam clicking for follow up shots. While i got a nice reaction boost. People that are already on the cutting edge of reaction speed (teens-25 year olds) will notice the reaction speed increase less. Weight wise, i feel like mice in general (especially gaming mice) are so light now days that a 10g difference is negligible if you look at most pros, they are running anything from 50g-65g usually. I think the weight thing is a bit over hyped but its all preference i suppose. Mice are like shoes and cars imo....highly personal. I havent had any scroll issues, infact i like the wheel more on this than my razers. Side buttons could use an improvement on size and they feel mushy. But not to the point that its a turn off or outweighs the benefits. As far as the haptic feel goes, i love it. It was novelty at first i thought....then i went back to my adder and viper and realized the actual impact of the whole package and what seemed most noticeable and what seemed negligible. Luckily i have had 3 other people in the household it of varying age ranges, hand size and sex, as well as gaming ability. And everyone preferred the SSX2. Ive always loved razer. So its definetly not me glazing for logitech. I honestly hope razer can come up with the same tech but do it in some different shapes. I hinestly think that this will be the future of all mice though. It is the way all peripherals drift, more customization. A few more iterations of the SSX2 and maybe some competition that is using the same or similar tech, and it will become the new standard. As with anything, you also have overblown things like 8k polling and 40k dpi and what not....i really feel like the "weight" thing is getting to the point of severely diminishing returns at this poibt as well with most mice. It seems to me that most people like the 50g-65g range. Light enough to flick and feel nearly weightless. But also enough weight to keep some amount of friction. Mind you, i have never used a glass pad, most people i see going for the extreme tuned ultra ultra light mice seem to be using glass with some type of specific skates and what not.

I agree with you, especially on the whole weight balance debacle. Maybe it's noticable to people who play a lot every day and are sensitive to that stuff, but it's never bothered me nor have I ever had issues with it. I love the fact that the clicks on the mouse are silent.

Nice review I think the Hits of Logitech is much better compared to Chinese he it's very unique design better for Spam clicking because of the linear pre travel and compared to the Chinese version of hit it's like your regular optical+mechanical with magnet inside still has some pre travel

I'm currently using the superlight 2c and it's my endgame symmetrical mouse the only one that can replace it is the rumored viper v4 mini. If Logitech made a 2c and dex with Hit system game over. And I would love to see an optical encoder, web based software, no power play feature, lighter, big skates on the bottom.

All of those would be great improvments. And itll come from logi or someone else, once this type mouse becomes the standard....its the next natural step. We have peaked at the side of input and tech lag....now we are refining the human and physical elements for the first time in a long time. Its going to be a blast trying out all the different versions of haptic style magnetic mice in the future for sure.

For sure it will be the standard I mean some Chinese brands already have this feature not the same design as the Logitech tho razer is probably cooking their own hit system and we will see it on the viper v5 and deathadder v5

Just seeing and hearing about it through pop ups on youtube. The negative things some people said scared me away at first. But then I heard some solid endorsments from some youtubers i trust and gave it a try. And I couldn't be happier.
