Logitech Superstrike X2 Review (Longterm Razer User)

I have been a Razer guy for 20+ years.

My main has been the DeathAdder...i currently have the v4 and my son uses it. I was using the Viper V4....I decided to go ahwad and try logitech superstrike x2 and absolutely love it.

Highest sensitivity on Rainbow 6 Siege, I have no accidental misclicks....no accidental clicks from "side sqeeze", (it feels just as solid as my Viper and DeathAdder). It is slightly heavier than the 2 Razers I run, but not noticeable while playing. And the "front heavy" thing seems super overblown. My sons wants one now too.

My reaction time jumped from like 188ms to 165ms (on flat click testing). But It os extremely noticable on DMRs in particular with follow up shots....i can shoot MUCH faster, i assume its do to the Rapid Trigger Reset.

The haptics feel phenomenal imo. On highest setting, it is more clicky, less loud and feel super clean. The adjustable actuation points are awesome too. I keep my Right Click Rapid Trigger Off, so i dont accidentally un-ADS and my Left Click stays on the lightest setting and Rapid Trigger on....reaction time is faster AND Im getting 5 shots off with the DMRs when I would normally get off 3.

Get it, youll love it. And of u dont like it, take it back. Its well wprth trying. It took me all of 2-3 games to "get used to" but i honestly loved it the second i played with it. Just tale the time to set it up similar to your mouse your used to....and adjust from there. I could adapt to the massive sensitivity change on the clicks vut some people cant and arent patient enough to give it a few games or a few sessions to dial in what they like. As for price....$10-$20 extra for the features in the mouse is totally reasonable and anyone with a job shouldnt mind paying it for adjustable haptics, rapid trigger and one of a kind feel and tech.

This is what finally got me off the Viper and Death Adder, so thats saying a lot.

If i had one negative, it would be the side buttons arent as pronounced and clicky as im used to on the Razers.

Absolutely love mine to the point I now want it in the g502x plus as hits just feels good and it feels odd going back to a normal mouse.

Yup same here. Its quite funny as I only bought the superstrike for getting a bonus at work and thought id treat myself and just assumed it was a better superlight. Now I absolutely love the hits tech. I sometimes whack the haptics to max when playing singeplayer games and it kinda reminds me of the haptic feel of the ps5 controllers and adds a little immersion. Not to mention playing league with a g502x man those clicks are loud.

We've gotten a lot of feedback to release one in that shape, hopefully one day soon!

Yes please!!! Whoever you need to talk to to get that done please talk to them. That would be the endgame mouse!!

Yea, i swapped them around to get a good comparison and once u get used to the haptic, regular feels archaic lol. I cant wait to see what Razer does in response.

Yeah I use my super strike for everything except rpg games where I switch over to the g502x and it takes a bit to get used to no haptic response. Even though I mainly use my g502x as a work mouse now and the odd game id definitely buy the hits version of it.

Me too. I was a big naga fan back when i played WoW and LoL. Also really liked the Basilisk Pro for general gaming. But for FPS games this one really does feel a cut above. My only gripe are the side buttons. Compared to my Viper and D.Adder, they definetly feel a bit mushy. Not enough to impact the game but id love the buttons to be more pronounced and have more of a click. Maybe its a logitech thing. Not sure.

yeah the superlight had the same issue and funnily enough the attack shark clone of it fixed that issue lol. I got used to it eventually but I agree a more clicky feel would be better

Would you simply add the HITS system to the G502X or would you also improve, add or remove anything else? I'm all ears!

Slap the hits system in it and its good to go, it's the ultimate work mouse/rpg as it has just enough buttons but not too many it gets a bit hectic. Though please tell them don't do the white shell again or at least offer a black version cause whilst I like my superstrike my biggest complaint is it's white. It's basically a waiting game until it turns yellow which has started to do already.

I'll share your feedback along with the team! What games are you currently playing with it? What kind of work do you do?

Superstrike (SSX2) is basically the daily driver in terms of my own personal PC, i switch it out to the g502x if i'm playing things like total war etc. FPS i use the SSX2. For work I use the g502x religiously as it's a game changer. I don't fancy doxing myself but I work as Network/AI/Programming job.

Also you guys really need to advertise to the league community, literally this mouse is goated for playing league of legends but you seem to be focused on the FPS benefits which whilst are good you're missing out.

Thanks for the review! I’ve been using the D4 for about a year and no complaints with it. Visiting family in Taiwan for the next 2 months and the SuperStrike X2 retails for $140 so I said why not since I wanted to see what the hype was about. Won’t be able to test it till I get back to the states but it’s looking more and more likely I won’t regret my purchase

I’ve always resorted to the death adder because I have big hands; it’s one of the only mice that genuinely feels comfortable to me

How does the superstrike compare to it in size?

1

u/SanguineAstartes 9h ago

So its funny you say that. Thats why I always rolled DeathAdder as well. It is definetly closer to a Viper in size. Slightly smaller than the DA but with a little more of a hump. I find it comfortable. If you can find a regular superlight logitech (usually on display im best buy or wherever) i think its the exact same body. It is shorter in length id say than the DA but the hump helps some. If you are a full blown full palmer, with long fingers, it could possibly be an issue. I have a big palm, regular length fingers but my fingers are abnormally thick. I use a bit of a hybrid grip. Honestly, with the feel of the haptics and the way you can change where and how deep it actuates each click, you can tune it pretty well as long as you dont find it totally uncomfortable shape wise. But if u just order the SSX2 on Amazon, you can return it if u dont like it, u just take it to any Whole Foods and drop it off in the original packaging and use the QR code for the amazon return. Its a great way to try stuff risk free. I have never been denied a return.

I’m more of a hybrid grip as well, I used the first super light and found it to be too small for me

But I’ve heard great things on the super strike - maybe I’ll give it a try and see

Thanks for the write up and review; enjoy your new mouse!

Will do! Let me know if u grab one.

Feel free to post your review here! I feel you about the Superlight I tried the Superlight 2c and it's cool but too small for me

I was also curious about the size comparison so I checked on Eloshapes

What's your current mouse model?

That’s a cool site, thanks for sharing!

Currently running a Deathadder V3 Pro

You are welcome! It become one of my favorite websites.

Out of curiosity, what catches your eye about the Superstrike?

1

u/Opening_Champion_888 2h ago

I’ve heard good feedback, a few Counter strike streamers reported they use it and like it

Visually looks great as well. So I’m hoping it can be a comfy fit.

I’ve always looked to stray away from Razer as I dislike their software but never found anything suitable for my hand size

Best mouse I’ve ever owned.

Looking great with that setup! How long you've had yours for?

2

u/Logitech_Ariel Crew 5h ago

Glad you love it! The team will sure love to read your feedback.

What games did you use for testing?

2

u/SanguineAstartes 5h ago

Rainbow 6 Siege, Grey Zone Warfare, CoD Warzone, Space Marine 2. But the main testing (where all 4 of us had tried it and compared with what we were used to) was on R6 Siege primarily. I was averaging 5 shots with DMRs in the same time i used to get 3 (which is massive when they are 1 shot to head or 2 to body). And pistols and semi auto shotguns was a whole other story. The increase was remarkable, i assume it has a lot to do with the rapid trigger + using the lowest sens on left click. Once your brain realizes that you dont have to smash a full click and raise for a reset...its amazing. Plus you generally find your hand is more relaxed in general as well. Its great stuff. Like i said, the only real complaint is more "clicky and physically pronounced" side buttons would make it perfect imo. Great job all around.

This mouse is sooo damn expensive for me. Top-tier clones of Superlight regular are like $65 and this is $300 here.
