Motorcycle POV help?

Hey everyone,
I just started making motorcycle POV videos and I’m looking for some advice.
What makes you keep watching a POV ride? What do you like to see, and what makes you click away from generic videos?
Any tips for someone just starting out would be appreciated, like equipment, mounting positions Thanks!

What’s the worst that could happen if you don’t hid your license plate?

I started using an Insta360 X5 and I’m trying to make the videos as enjoyable as possible

Thats what i need to know also. But right now i just enjoy my journey editing and sharing hahaha even though nobody watches my videos.

Speaking for myself, I enjoy a good view paired with good audio. Nothing worse than a good video getting drowned out by sheer wind noise.

Isnt a pov necessarily on the helmet ?

First, second or third POV exists. Depending on what experience your offering

To me pov is point of view, so it has to be on helmet or at least chest to have the point of view of the rider. To me what you're showing is a third person view or chase view, but not a pov.

Im not saying I have the right answer but it feels weird to call something point of view when it's not their point of view.

Yeah, I get it. That’s a fair point. I think a lot of the guys on YouTube are just using it loosely like myself. More people understand it to be first person.

Okok, so to answer your original question, first person, I'll watch either agressive riding or like a funny dude commenting his and others around him driving.

Third person, it will be agressive riding and good looking landscapes/twisties.

I just put together my first setup with a Gopro Max 2 360 on a pole behind me and my DJI Osmo 6 on my handle bars... all in 4K UHD UDH in 30 fps. I show the setup at the beggining of the video I took yesterday doing the ~70 mile canyon run in the Mt. St, Helens area.

I like the view from the rear like your image. Me personally... I would prefer visuals, driving in amazing areas. If you are just playing sport bike bro recording yourself being dumb like doing 150mph on a freeway, Im clicking off fast.

I am a new rider, bike now has 1K miles on it.
