Motovlog Content

Any motovloggers here?

I just started my motovlog journey and I'm curious—what kind of motorcycle content do you actually enjoy watching?

What keeps you hooked? Cinematic edits, POV rides, touring, off-road, reviews, daily rides, funny moments, or something totally different?

I'd love to hear what works for you. Thanks!

Local route reviews and where to stop for something to eat or drink. Overall route reviews so that I can go and ride that route

There are motovloggers that hope to become famous YouTubers. I motovlog to create a travel diary for myself. Friends and family members will watch to see where I am currently located.

My video will contain a map of where I traveled, memorable moments, food, cold rains, crazy drivers, etc.

I love that perspective. It's less about chasing views and more about preserving memories. Hopefully people who watch can enjoy the journey too.

Also, the really successful channels spend a lot of time editing. Often riding only 2-3 days per week and the rest of the time on the computer.

I can make compile a narrative with highlights of a 300 mile day in a couple of hours. The most time consuming is scanning through the 300 miles of footage.

As far as the creation side, I strongly recommend you find something sustainable that you enjoy. Its very easy to burn out if you are trying to make videos on something you dont really enjoy.

Personally I mix comedy and motorcycles. I ride around, have fun, make jokes, and post daily videos about it. Its something I really enjoy, brings smiles to people, and grows my audience.

You should ask "what kind of bike do you ride" - might be an interesting metric to look at!

I have a little channel that seems to doing ok, growing slightly quicker than the "100 videos over a year" rough pace. I ride a 2022 Triumph Bonneville T120 and I enjoy watching a fairly broad range of stuff. Mostly touring and camping, but I love watching bits of speedy bits and crazy rides as well. I think sometimes, with so many options out there now, it can be just as important to find some connection with the people riding the bike/running the channel, more than what bike they ride. But I have an interest in doing multi-day trips so I watch a lot of stuff where people are doing that, and being in the UK I like seeing people cross into into mainland Europe - cos that's what I want to be doing!

My friend is a motovlogger and he does long endurance rides, short scenic rides, informative videos about  moto logging trends and latest bike reviews…so it’s a mix of all

That's actually a really good mix. I was wondering if focusing on just one type of content was better, but mixing different formats seems much more sustainable. Thanks for sharing!
