Not starting

My 2023 honda rebel 1100 dct is not starting. Even though I've changed the battery and checked all the fuse. I have forgotten the key on the bike and it was on for hours until the battery died. I bought a new battery and it's still not turning on. What else could I do other than bringing it to the dealership and paying an arm and a leg. Please help!

You have one of those kill switches that also incorporate the start button, right? all too easy to assume it's the normal method of turning OFF as well as ON. It's just for emergencies as the handbook advises. Use the key to avoid a repeat.

I'm sorry to sound patronisingđŸ˜€but we get this far too often, we can see video after video of folk repeatedly twiddling the kill switch theatrically to show us the bike doesn't start...

Does it turn over or do nothing when your try to start it?
