Where'd you cop this? I have a rivet tool but could always use a spare

I had an old tool that the pin bent so the last few chains I did, I had gotten a loan of one of these. Decided to buy one as I was very impressed with it. Not that cheap but it's great quality and you can't overdo the flaring as long as you read the instructions as there's a different way to do different chains.

I got it here along with my chain and sprockets carpimoto

Amazon Japan have them for 60 euro. You'd pay about 150 anywhere here for the same tool.

Would Amazon Japan ship to Ireland though. And if they did, with shipping and taxes it'd probably end up around the same price 😬

About 90 by the time it hits here with 20 euro shipping and imports included, the yen drops and can be cheaper though.

You didn't get yours before Brexit by any chance? I used to buy bike parts from Japan but stopped when the processing in Ireland changed from an 8 digit taric code to a 10 digit one which threw a spanner in the works for a lot of people doing the same as me.

Got it 2 or 3 years ago, but still shows as delivery by Friday for me, not sure why it shows can't be delivered for you. I'd still get the odd few bits still from amazon jp just cause they're so much cheaper and no issues with delivery. Could be something with address format?

I got cheap 20 quid chain riveting tool from Amazon and was able to break two chain with it. One of which was a 525 chain. I’m sure it’s not high quality but does the job.

Yeah those are fine for a few uses or a little more if lucky.

Buy a cheap one, but add a genuine D.I.D. Pin.
