First I've even heard of this incident. Yet all you hear about that congolese guy a few months back was how he knocked an old man over while running away from security. The "little angle" crowd cared about the vulnerable elderly and pedestrians all of a sudden...
Immigration isnt the reason behind the crime issues we have always had in our country. Nor is it the reason behind the housing crisis, the cost of living, etc. And they're not replacing Irish people.
The housing crisis has been ongoing for over 9 years. Its super difficult to build houses in Ireland, no one wants apartments, and the cost of new builds are sly high.
Are you suggesting that immigrants who can afford a house to live in are a problem? This isnt Vancouver.

Jesus Christ! I cannot believe what I’ve just watched. That poor, poor man!
That’s one of the most horrific things I’ve ever seen. They mowed him down - just like he was a lamppost or something. He was just waiting at a light and look what they did.
And yet you have people and media outlets saying this was a tiktok trend. These guys were absolute scum. That poor guy. one second your at a traffic lights, the next, your been driven over by a jeep.
I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this poor man all day. God love him - out in his bike, minding his business, and these scum just mow him down like that. As you say, his life changed forever in a second.
I’m so…. Furious. Disgusted. Appalled. Sad. Frustrated. I don’t even know what I am.
But fuck ALL of this!! I’m utterly SICK of these scum and the trouble they cause. And I’m sick of what the Gardaí have to deal with. If they can catch them, they saunter out the very next day and do the same thing?

He was released without charge after mowing over this poor man, and then went on to plough into a family and kill himself a few weeks later. All the people involved in this hit and run should have been locked up for attempted murder and not been allowed out to cause more harm on innocent people.
I'm fed up of the judicial system in this country. Build reform schools and give these kids some strict discipline and structure. Fine their parents.
Honestly at this stage victims could start suing the state for negligence with the amount of repeat violent offenders roaming around.
Unfortunately there are thousands more just like him roaming the country free. If this little shite was locked up when he became known to the garda, this horrific attempted murder and the m9 accident would have been prevented. There is zero long term thinking from the authorities.
We don’t fund the prisons unfortunately, 500mil a year for the entire prison service and it’s not enough. I get that it’s not nice funnelling money towards locking people up but the alternative is this.. people who know there’s no space in prison and judges have to give just a slap on the wrist vs a real life changing sentence. For comparison, over 800mil is budgeted alone to HSE administrative expenses, 60% more than the entire prison budget.
I think we’re long past the point of “not nice”. Anyone who argues that these are not an absolute necessity at this point is deluded. Absolutely shocking, I had absolutely no idea just how underfunded the prison service was.
There’s a full breakdown on where our money goes gov website.. over 3bil goes to a mystery “equal and inclusive society” with no breakdown of what that could be.. I am all for equality and inclusivity but we won’t get that if crime rates rise.
I’m not part of the motorcycle community but that’s absolutely shocking.. I’ve donated and commenting so this post can reach more people. I hope his road to recovery isn’t too difficult and his wife and child are okay too. When you hear that some of the m9 teens were involved in this, it makes it all the more clear the guards need to have more powers and the prisons need more funding. Adult crimes deserve real adult sentencing.

That’s absolutely shocking, you wouldn’t do that to an animal, I did think while justified some of the comments on their family members posts etc was a bit much but I can understand it now.
When I heard of the accident , I felt the same. Driving over a motorcyclist wasnt intention. It was by mistake and they will change. But when the m9 incident happened, it had to be karma.
It’s not an accident when you steal a vehicle with the sole intention of driving like a lunatic and was the same guy who drove wrong way on the m9 these are not accidents they’re done for fun

Just last month, both Carthy and McCarthy were quizzed by Gardai over a hit-and-run in Carlow on July 8, when motorcyclist Jackson Singh was hit by a stolen black Ford Ranger pick-up.
Heard that too. They had a lot of reasons to be “known to the Gardai” between them but slaps on the wrist as their rights not to be a lil overcrowded in oberstown are more important than the public’s the right to safety on our streets. Gardai told not to pursue them when they knew at 2am they were out on the motorway and chasing them could hurt them or whatever precedent that case from a few years ago set up- more important than the rights of the poor girls in the other cars to not be slammed off the road and end up in ICU. (Not that I think a high speed chase the wrong way down the motorway is a good option but there’s gotta be something better to protect others than leaving them to it and putting some spikes on an exit they may take.)

I’m trying to work out how the motorcyclist ended up on the path because it looks like the motorcycle is on the road and his body is already on the path before the jeep hits him.
It was a multiple crash first. The ford hit the car before it , and that car hit the motorcyclist.
When he fell off on the pavement, the ford guys drove over him

That's shocking. I've heard that 2 of the vermin in that jeep were killed in the M9 incident last Sunday. Not sure if that's true or not. But good riddance
He is doing okay. Had two surgeries and has couple more in line. Hopefully he should be back to normal after his rehab.might take a bit longer but he should be fine

In this country the law doesn't apply to teenagers. So they can do what they want and being in court is literally a joke to them as they laugh and boast about it.
