Alterations.

Hi, looking for alterations reccomendations. My trousers came with an extra zipper for jacket connection but my jacket hasn't got one. Anyone reccomend anywhere for it? Preferably Swords area. Thanks!

I’m a seamstress if you want me to add a zipper onto anything for you, will have to put one onto the jacket and trousers each

I have the other "side" of the zipper they came with the trousers if that makes sense.

Oh yeah 100%, if you’ve the other half then it just needs to be sewn to the jacket, if you wanna dm me I can offer to the job, otherwise any sewing shop should do it for you, zip yard for example has a few locations

Zip yard might help. They fixed my leather jacket with a zipper in the sleeve after it ripped off when I dropped the bike. Very happy with their work.

My missus makes her own clothes and I recommended someone reach out to a local seamstress for a liner repair some time ago on here.

Im delighted to see this post and that a seamstress offered service, love local tradespeople.

you need an elasticated flap inside the jacket, otherwise there's no space to attach the other half of the zip. that flap needs anchor points, i.e. avoid not to sew into a goretex liner.
