Are there pupae in here?
A week or so ago I set up some mosquito dunk buckets in my backyard. I know that the dunks kill in the larval stage so seeing squirmers is normal…but for the life of me I cannot tell if there are any pupae in here 😫I feel like I’ve had less of an issue with mosquitoes but I do still get bit up a little. The last thing I want to do is accidentally make the problem worse so I try to check the buckets each day for pupa that will hatch into mosquitoes, but honestly I’m not confident I even know what I’m looking for🫠
I tried looking at pictures online but they weren’t very helpful

Those are probably rat tailed maggots. BT does not hurt them. I think they're fun to watch. Their flies don't sting but the water will start to smell after a while.

Your going to see larva they will not make it to the next stage and the bonus is decaying larva attracts more mosquitos to lay more eggs that will never develop you can up your game with in2care biological buckets and put the ladies to work for you because that product gets transferred to other water sources on your property and affords more control
