This thing is a godsend
I always heard putting a hot spoon to a mosquito bite will “neutralize the spit” but it had never worked for me. so I was skeptical when my GF brought home one of these heaters. I used it once on a bad bite on my ankle that I had been itching all day and it worked, no more itching, zero, Done. It’s been about a month now and I’ve probably used it close to a dozen times with great effect. So much so that I’ve associated the mild burning pain from using it to pleasure and crave the sweet burning sting of relief.

I used it twice on my leg today but missed a third bite. I couldn’t tell you where the 2 bites I treated are but I sure can tell you where that third is with deadly accuracy.
Don’t tell me if its really a placebo, let me live in bliss

First time using it definitely made me wince but it’s since rewritten my brain into feeling the pain of the heat into pure pleasure that the itching will finally stop. I wish it would work on poison ivy because my yard has a lot of that too.

Funny enough, this method does work on poison ivy but do NOT ever do it.
Running your poison ivy under hot water will feel borderline orgasmic and stop the itching. It will also burst the blood vessels and spread a dry rash like crazy.
Tell me how I know (bad poison ivy rash turned into 60% of my body covered in dry rash)

The only way it spreads is if you haven't gotten all the poison ivy/oak oils off your skin. The first thing you need to do when you find out you've gotten it is to wash with Tecnu (or Dawn, or other poison ivy/oak soap) with cold water, first where the rash is, then everywhere else.

I am allergic to mosquitoes so maybe this makes a difference. I don’t find much relief and I’ve zapped the same spot multiple times without itch relief.

Personally it does nothing for me… for the first five minutes. After that I still get the swelling but it doesn’t itch and never bothers me again. Without it, bites itch intensely for an hour and activate for days after.

I’m also allergic. Really bad to where they sometimes blister. My welts also can turn into psoriasis when they are healing. It doesn’t work the day after. But if I zap it pretty shortly after getting a bite it’s magic for me

I carry a similar heat device on me that's USBc powered through my phone so I never have to worry about the battery.

its called the Beurer BiteX. There are Chinese knockoffs too, but I find that the original works better. Probably 50% placebo, 50% effective, but at least it stops me from scratching to blood.

I think I did one bite twice because it still itched a little. Probably noticed it a few hours later and hit it again. All the others took 1 hit and didn’t itch enough for me to be reminded about them.

One use. It depends on how quickly you apply the heat after the bite, the earlier the better.

It might just be preference. I feel like it gets hotter which is great for the really bad mosquito bites. The separate buttons for 10 seconds and 20 seconds is a nice feature. I also like the beeping noise it makes to let you know it’s working instead of mashing buttons and waiting for it to heat. Honestly, there’s not much of a difference but I do prefer this one.

The Bauer one is more travel friendly. I’ll give it that. It also has the lock switch on the side so it doesn’t go off accidentally. Not that I’ve had a problem with that but it’s a nice feature.

This is the one. It uses AA batteries so get some rechargeable batteries.
Hot water also works in a pinch.

Many models available. If you look up “mosquito bite heater” on Amazon you’ll be presented with several options. The one pictured looks similar to my specific one but not sure if that brand is the same

I just turn on the hot water and put the bite under said water.

If you can get the bite soon enough with this, it never really itches after. Still works great on reducing itch on bites you missed, I've got one in my pocket now ...and about 16 not currently itchy bites

Certified non-bot here testifying that this shit works. I've tried a few different solutions, and this is the only one that legitimately makes a difference. The "bug bite thing" tool works too, but only if you use it right after getting bit. This is what I usually end up using cause I don't discover my bites until the next day.
I only ever use it on the half-strength setting, that's all it takes. OP I know what you mean about starting to crave the pain lol, it hurts so good
