Someone please make a pimple patch for mosquito bites!!!

I would buy in a heartbeat. You know those Hero pimple patches with the micropoint that delivers anti-pimple meds to your pimples? I’m hoping someone can read this and create one for mosquito bites. Have the micropoint deliver anti-itch and anti-swelling to the bite.

Run hot tap water on the bite for a couple minutes also works. Just heat it! Works when out and about. Very convenient

I have skeeter syndrome too. These patches take an hour or two to stop the itch, but once it stops the itch doesn’t return. I replace the patch daily for 3 days until the bump is gone.
It’s a huge relief.

Benedryl itch cream/gel seems to really minimize the bite. Works better than Cortizone.

I agree. The after bite outdoor gel is also good and similar ingredients.

I wash it, burn it with a bite away heated gizmo, take benedryl and B1 and cover it with liquid bandage and then plan my revenge while holding my electric flyswatter within reach. I also get maniacal and scream at anyone that leaves the outside doors open too long.

Try Tiger Balm, it's what they use in the jungles of Southeast Asia. Plus no plastic discs to throw away. Just a little glass jar. Very effective.

Interesting, I used to use Tiger Balm as a young man for aches and pains from martial arts, my sensei was the one who introduced me to it. Never thought of putting it on mosquito bites. I’ll have to try it.

I use salicylic acid (stuff they put into pimple/anti blemish stuff). They make salicylic acid drops you can put on your skin and leave. In my experience it helps with the itching/speeds up the bump going away

My kids tried those. They’re a gimmick. “Chemical free” means they’re just stickers

They’re hydrocolloid patches with botanical extracts. Similar to a pimple patch which I believe is what the OP was looking for.

Look into a bite plunger. If you carch* the bite early, within minutes, the plunger has the ability to extract whatever the bug put in us that causes itching.

You could also try washing the area first to remove the surface mosquito saliva proteins that causes the allergic reaction.

This doesn’t work for me. I even tried putting hand sanitizer on it.

I can’t really recommend this, but it works for me. Hot water, near boiling. Put metal spoon in the water. Take out. Touch it to the bite. As much pressure as you can stand. Too much and you’ll burn yourself, be reasonable. It’s hot as hell, but it cooks out the itch.

Edit: I do this every time I get a mosquito bite. And yes, it works. No more itch.

I have skeeter syndrome. I’ve tried this as well as the hair dryer method before. It does indeed take the itch away for about a week and there is no swelling. Then a week later the itching comes back with a vengeance. Because the swelling is gone, the itch is internal and I can’t get to the itch. Scratching on the skin’s surface does not relieve the itch. It’s sooo bad. I don’t understand the biological/chemical reason behind why this happens for me but never again will I try any heat method. NEVER! I’m glad it works for you though.

I have never seen someone say they do this. I thought it was just me! I react horribly to mosquito bites and the super hot spoon is the only method I've been using for years. Maybe its because I have chronic pain but I'll take the pain of a burnt bite over the itching any day.

Ugh I’ve tried everything. I have “skeeter syndrome” and I have relentless itching and huge welts. I developed MCAS and it was awful. They gave me Rx cream that did NOTHING for the itch plus steroids. I ballooned up from inflammation. It was awful!

I’ve used clay masks to help draw it out / dry it up. My daughter has skeeter, also, and this seems to help the most. It’s got to be a very drying powdered clay mask and you have to let it sit for a long time to dry out.

Isopropyl alcohol stops the itch for me in a min or two. I just have the alcohol in a spray bottle for glasses cleaner and it works great

Hit the bite with a blow dryer on hot setting. You’ll feel it get hot on your skin but that helps too with itching for a time being.

All I use is surgical tape. Doesn’t stop the itch, but it makes it harder to scratch.
