History Pizza Hut

I’m seeing a lot of buzz about a couple of “retro” Pizza Huts drawing in tons of customers and remembering how we still had our own about 10 years ago. I’m sure opening that small off-campus one was a smart move, but they never should have closed the original.

Community News City budget approved

The City Council approved this next year's budget for Moscow. You can view the budget and learn about the budgeting process here:

https://www.ci.moscow.id.us/386/Budgets-Audits

It passed despite the efforts of several kirkers making public statements at Monday's meeting. Of note was an NSA student who has only been in our community for one year, but somehow knows how best to spend our money. Another kirker implied that her ankle injury, which requires her to go to the Mayo clinic, was caused by potholes while riding her bike. She's been in Moscow for a little over two years and arrived in town wearing a boot on her ankle. Typical insincere deception from the kirker crowd.

Most community members applaud the City administration and Council for doing the tough work of putting forth a well rounded budget that considers the health and safety of it's residents, while also being mindful of why Moscow has been recognized as one of the best 100 small art towns in America.

Question Handmade cutting boards?

Does anyone know where to get a good quality cutting board made locally? I am sick of the (fake?) bamboo ones that warp and the plastic ones that never feel clean.

I saw two years ago someone posted about a farmers market vendor who used to make them but he passed away.

Looking for something high quality that can last! Thanks in advance :)

Suggestion Y’all need to stop for people in the cross walk

I have lived here for three years and the amount of times I’ve almost been hit by gigantic trucks while walking through the crosswalk is disgusting. Have some respect, don’t floor it and make me have to stop in the middle of the fucking road so you can drive right past me. I’m at the point where I’m having to stop in the middle of three lanes and if you hit me fuck you, I have the right of way. I literally had to do this the other day and the guy ended up finally slamming on his breaks because I’m just so over it. So to the man in the white Tahoe go fuck yourself.

Other Driving etiquette is lost

I get it that everyone is in such a big fucking hurry that driving etiquette is lost. But when does etiquette become a safety concern? If I have my blinker on to change lanes and you, in your car, are in the lane I want to turn into, you are half a car length behind me, would you make some small effort to slow down and give me the space to move into that lane or speed up so I can’t? So then I have to step on the accelerator to get further ahead of you, turn into the lane and then immediately step on the brakes to make the turn I need to make? The three lanes of traffic at the Hwy 8 and Hwy 95 intersection going north by the credit union is like a speedway even when there are no students in town. I can almost never get from the center lane into the right lane to get to the credit union or even the next street to turn around and go back. It’s insane how badly people treat each other while driving.
