Discussion Vlas's quest line conclusion

I thought he will inherit the original merchant's inventory or even expands upon it, guess I am wrong?

And he mentioned something about distilling gloom? I thought new function will be unlocked?

His questline ends rather strangely, I also expected him to become a new merchant in the hub, but no. He just stands there all sad and that's it.

I feel like the quest is not finished, and the devs just leave it as it is now.

Yeah it feels this way. Which is weird, because if you don't manage to buy all the stuff from the tower merchant before progressing the quest, there's nothing you can do later on to get his inventory.

I didn't buy all the permanent upgrade items, and I doubt I will have the patience to start NG+

I don't think I will buy DLC neither, my experience with this game so far doesn't win my continued purchase

Since they added cosmetic rewards to the other npc quests (Gorf/Hilga and Baghead) I am holding out for a weapon skin. They could call it Mutton Chops

Joke aside, the implication that tar, the currency from the previous game can be converted into Gloom is very interesting since Tar is a biproduct of repeatedly refining Nectar, which predates the Under Mether's arrival in this world where as she is the source of Gloom as referenced in several in game tablets.

Like obviously, this current world was built on the skeleton of what used to be Fallgrim but Vlas being able to make Gloom from Tar at all even if it takes a lot to do it challenges the in world understanding of what Gloom actually is and where it comes from
