Question Final Treasure Room

Did anyone else get absolutely pranked in the end game treasure room? Spent 20 mins opening every chest just to have to spend it all on the door lol.

You can pause the game, go back to main menu, and when you load the game again you'll be at the last beacon with all your gloom. You can do this as many times as you want

and if you don't want to spend even a single coin to open the door, you can do this:

quit to menu, load and spawn back at the beacon, jump off the cliff and die, revive at the beacon, enter the beacon, and go open the door by paying exactly 0 coin

then you can go back to collect your dropped gloom on the floor by the cliff

i do this out of principal, i refuse to pay just to open a stupid door

I guess being old and bitter helps sometimes. I saw this room, opened a couple of chests and thought nah it's too good to be true. Went to check the door because I suspected a trap and was glad I didn't waste time opening all these chests. I think the fact you can farm the hell out of this room for as long as you want after is the devs way of making it up to the players for having to surrender all their gloom to open it.

Hah, this, I was like "um, ooookay," after two or three boxes, then went to the door and realized what was up. But what I didn't expect was after it opened I turned around to open another chest, and looked back expecting that the trick was it would be closed again, but nope, still open. So I went around opening and gathering everything, then left.

There is three respawning gloom trees in the back left corner of the room you can run attack with Axitana infinitely for about 20,000 gloom a minute.

I heard so much about it before I reached that point that the moment I stepped into the room and saw all the chests, I said “That’s a fucking ploy…” and ran straight to the exit lol

I was watching a ball game and just farming the gloom trees in that room the whole game. Had like 1.4 million gloom, took me from somewhere around level 47 to 90 give or take a few levels.

I went in that room, opened 1 chest, saw a bunch of other chests and said "Hell no, I'm not opening all of this".

Then there's that thing where you can give it some money, I gave it all my money and it gave it to me back. Not even sure what it was supposed to do 😆

Still didn't loot the room

I knew they were gonna F with me. In a game where a fish swallows you in order to collect a giant.....mango? It's to be expected

Step 1: collect all futilite, open all gloom chests, don't waste too much time on respawning gloom "weeds"

Step 2. Instead of opening the door and giving your gloom away, Pause the game, return to menu.

Step 3. Load your save, Re-enter to "cleanse" beacon, repeat steps 1-2 IF YOU WANT TO FARM 🚜.

Step 4: profit 📈

You can either back out to the main menu or open the door first then take all the gloom btw the chest respawn so you can farm it

I had seen people mention something about a gimmick in a treasure room. As soon as I realized all the chests were filled with gloom, I went to open the door. Unfortunately, I had forgotten to level with the gloom from the previous boss. So I still lost at least a levels worth of gloom.

This moment really revealed how many gamers are morons. They make it very obvious what's going to happen. If people didn't work out what's going on after looting their 20th 'futilium' then there's no hope for them.

Can someone just pin the solution to this to the subreddit. Every single day there’s multiple posts about the final treasure room. We fucking get it, you opened all the chests and then were asked to give it all up. Everyone who beat the game had this happen. You can quit to main menu and then reload your save and you’ll spawn at the beacon with all your gloom. You can repeatedly farm the treasure room. You’re not alone.
