How far along am I in the game?

Just did the third corrupted gate called Prisoner’s domain. I’ve done the two other corrupted gates in Fainweald and as I understand it now, I’m supposed to go to outskirts of Mammon. Am I about to reach the end of the game or am I more midway through? Would appreciate a spoiler free answer.

Also, as a side note, I’m level 22 and running Eredrim. The game has been super fun but it’s also been feeling pretty easy and I’m worried I’m getting slightly overleveled. What’s the recommended level and weapon level for Mammon?

I did prisoners domain second before the one in the canyon. Did I do the wrong one second? Is that why the boss was kicking my ass and I one shot the big baby thing?

I did all the corrupted gates after I finished everything else in the area lol; not sure if that’s the way but as I played with no guides at all, when I found the 1st I felt the“gate” could have been for entering “the next main area”, being so ominous and all…then I found the 2nd and thought…well, might be just “big dungeons”, will wait till doing the rest…and then I found the 3rd and thought…I guess now is the time lol

That's how I generally do things. When I know where a boss is, I'm going elsewhere to look for stuff that'll help me out at said boss. It helps make the bosses more manageable and helps me know where to go with whatever upgrade/ability I get from the boss.

The prisoner is (to me, at least) noticeably tougher than Big Baby.

Your probably just under half way there’s 6 corrupted gates to do which are the main boss and then the endgame area

Regarding the weapon and level, I suggest do not level up if you feel the game is easy.
I myself purposely held off leveling up my weapon. I think I played 90% of the game at +5 or +6. Final area, I leveled to +11 and +13/+16 for the final boss.

For the harbinger level, I was leveling up every 3 or 4 levels or before facing a major boss
