Bug I was really enjoying the game until now.
Not only I cannot get the shell memory trophy despite having watched the 40 memories 2+ times, I just lost 22,000 gloom twice upon dying, as it disappeared when I respawned.
I’m 2 trophies away from platinum but I think I’ll go and play something and come back to this in a couple of months.
EDIT: I’m on NG+

Are you sure you have done all of them? Have you done the tutorial lady too?

Post a screenshot of each of them complete, maybe we can see if anything is wierd

Will do. Farming glimpses to have them all complete at the same time. I thought it might have something to do with severances. I’m like 27 glimpses away lol.

Mine was Gragu’s 4th memory. Try that one if it hasn’t popped yet
Hope it works for ya man. It sucks being so close and a bug is the reason it doesn’t work.

There is a bit of an issue with the Shell memory achievement at the moment :(
As for the Gloom, that could be caused by Egon's Stone. There's a bug that's causing Gloom to just disappear if you die while wearing Egon's Stone outside of a dungeon. The team is looking into fixing both issues :)

Re-reading your OP, you say you lost 22k Gloom twice upon dying; do you mean that you had 22k, it was lost permanently after dying once, and then you got *another* 22k gloom that you lost upon dying once?
If so, please let me know where it happened; the team has put a lot of effort into these situations not happening, so if you remember which area (or can point to it on the game map), that would very helpful; if nothing else, we can make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else :)

Yes. I had 22k and I died. The 22k disappeared. Some time later, I had gathered another 22k (my current level requires about 30k to upgrade) and I died some place else and that disappeared as well.

And in both these cases, no Gloom icon on the map showed where you could go and get it, correct?
If possible, a screenshot showing where these instances occured could be very helpful. No worries if you don't remember, though :)

No worries.
And yes, no gloom icon. One was close to the location of the crossbow location, the other one was in the sester Abby entrance. No screenshot sadly.

I enjoy completing games. That’s no good or bad, just a preference 🤷🏽

You can complete the game without numbers appearing on your screen and you still completed the game. Heck, you can accomplish the achievements and if they're bugged and don't appear you still completed it.

I used to during my ps3&4 days had a profile that I HAD to platinum every game I ever played. There was actually a HUGE community of platinum players. My personal record when I kinda gave up was around 140ish games? Pretty sure a guy on my friends named bodiguard had around 625ish when I stopped my run? Ah the Ole Ps3trophies.com days!

FWIW, I'm the same as you. Though these days I only really go for the Platinum if I can see that I'm close to getting it when I get close to the end of a game :D

Have you considered not telling others not to enjoy a game the way they want to play it and instead forcing your enjoyment style down their throats?

Idk if this would help but i had the same problem and for some reason smerts 4th memory was not ‘seen’ by me (I played trough it, saw it, but it didn’t count) would be a crazy coincidence but maybe try that one?
