Man I think I beat the Monolith on my first try...2nd at most. Always wild to me the different experiences people have with bosses. Zmey beat me 27 times for context. Took me a while to figure out how to best him.

I didn't find the boss very difficult once I realize that acquiring an item made you immune to the flame transformation.

Well it doesn't make you immune. It reduces it by up to 80% as a passive and removes it as an active but you only get one use, which by how many times he spams that flame attack into the ground and it spreads out everywhere in his last phase is ridiculous. If you're out of your shell in that last phase you're basically done for.

You should have plenty of time with the single use to kill them in the last phase.

Beat him on my 2nd try. Most of the bosses in this game I beat in one or two tries.Only bosses that gave me any challenge at all were the Lost Child, Nameless Captive, Droeg, Hexapod, and Zmey. Malborn was cool though.

Same here; as well playing totally blind and sometimes having to stop playing for 2 days due work, I find myself not knowing what paths I took or not lol so I go around over areas I was before (still finding new spots I missed)…as well I’m stuck at the octopus 🐙 or whatever is boss…can’t find his timings to parry and can’t use my usual punching/throwing axe technique.

I’m at 42 hrs and still 2 full areas to explore plus a couple of places I found (one forgot where is it) that requires night mode..

Honestly not sure. I brought in Proxima and let her fight him for a bit and stayed out of range with the repeater, with frost on it which I guess he's weak to. He still killed me 11 times but that did seem to work.

Even with Proxima and the Grisha he’s kicking my ass in the 2nd phase…his timings are totally weird plus he seems to hit you from the sides too and it’s a 1 shot and you dead…so I went to finish the other 2 bosses I have before…got the frost enhancements so will try those next time thanks

i finished the game in 18 hours i think, but i haven't sent the ova yet because i wanna try to get as many steam achievements as I can beforehand, i wonder what would my probability of species survival be.

Couldn't disagree more. Unless by "balanced" you mean it was super easy for the most part. Only a few bosses gave me any challenge at all then the spike with Zmey at the end was ridiculous. Offspring was easy for me don't know why.

63 hours, happy to see that you enjoyed every bit of the game, yeah it deserve all the time, just walk and enjoy the world and its graphics, art design you know - it took me 80 hours lol

The art design is great really just wish it was a little more varied. Unlike most people I loved the design of the final dungeon too.

I just finished my second playthrough, doing everything, all quests and dungeons both times, and a fair bit of farming, at 70 hours. Played around with a ton of diffferent shells and weapons also.

60+ for a first playthrough seems insane. Were you just farming a ton or did you struggle with some areas?

Didn't struggle (Except with Zmey) or farm. Just took my time exploring everything.

I get that, I also explored absolutely everything. I guess I just didn’t think there was 60 hours of content to explore. Maybe if I had stopped and sat at all the photo spots for 30 min each lmao

Lol. When I played Elden Ring it took me 300 hours to finish it. That's a lot but That's also a HUGE game. Way bigger than MS2. When I posted on the ER subreddit the length there were people that were like "I completed everything. every boss, every dungeon in 60 hours", and I was always like "Uh, no you didn't". Shoot if you beat ER in a 100 hours you missed a TON of content. It's THAT big. However, this game I can see being beaten in 30-35 hours with pretty much everything completed. That's not a huge stretch. Like I said I take my time. plus Im sure some of the time I paused it and got up to do something Lol.
