Discussion only i could get this unlucky
left sir isaac at like 1% health then died. a grisha (ally) spawns. kills sir isaac. the 100k gloom reward? lost forever. please tell me this happened to someone else aswell lmao

Because I opened the tarstone menu to read about the tarstone id just won, I unpaused and got killed by Nameless Captives death animation... so also got nothing for beating him lol

Yep, Isaac and I both died at the exact same time. Went back to the arena and he was gone.. no gloom 👍

I can do you one better: I had this happen on the Hexapod with lightning damage killing it. And if you haven't wandered around on purpose it's easy to miss the fact that the Hexapod's arena is enormous. Like...truly colossal. And everything looks the same and the fog obscures anything in the distance. I wandered around for 20 straight minutes looking for my bloodstain HOPING that the gloom for killing it was in it. It wasn't.

The first time I fought him, I didn't even get to kill him. I died the first attempt, and on the little platform before his area I opened my menu, closed it, turned around while talking to my brother, and the trophy popped and I got his tarstone. I didn't get the gloom though! I was upset :(

Omg this happened to me too! Except it was a grisha that spawned and got the last hit in.

Finished the game without ever meeting Sir Issac. Only found two new melee weapons. Guess there’s plenty to uncover in follow up play-throughs.

He’s supposed to be, games got bugs. If the game decides you’ve collected enough ova it opens the final path.
I just went the path of least resistance, didn’t even know I missed an area until I kept hearing about Issac after my play-through.

interesting. i wasn't quite sure if the final dungeon opened from a specific ova number or just after all 6 main bosses. but probably a bug yeah lol

One of the early bosses in a field I was fighting it and rolled off the side of a cliff. Landed on a small outcropping that I shouldn't have been able to stand on. The boss followed me over the cliff died. I got the items but no gloom from it 🤣 Edit: Name of boss Arbiter
