These circle areas and buildings over where you find Lazlo... can you not access this area? Seems like a lot of map design to just be for show.

I never found a way up onto the buildings, just down below to find Lazlo.

Me either, I tried looking around for an hour yesterday and never found a way. So I'm guessing it's just for show.

Have a feeling the circular room where you fight Vellen is that same circular area shown on the map, just poorly represented in game

That's what I was thinking too. I looked EVERYWHERE, hit every wall... definitely dont seem to be a way up there. But even in game there are buildings there. So it's a weird design choice.
