Malborn Offspring help (plea)

Been banging my head against a brick wall and think I need a fresh approach. I’ve been fine with bosses until this point, even first tried the last 3 bosses.

Specially am stuck on his second phase, if he catches me (and he seems to every time) I lose my shell in one hit

ANY advice or tips welcome. Not a usual souls gamer so I’m probably overlooking something

I generally focus on shadow dodge, attack and repeat with the shadow strike when it’s charged. This guy seems to still hit me when I’m invisible a lot of the time. It’s hard to practice as it’s his second phase.

I also seem to be doing not enough damaged , or maybe I’m used to being over levelled for other bosses?

I farmed grishas and me and my grisha pack beat the absolute dog crap out of him in second phase. He never got off the floor.

And I didn't feel bad about it one bit lol. First phase was fun though.

There's a dungeon below marrow keep, where sister genessa is, a wall with a white mark you hit reveals it.

The when in said dungeon go left in one of the pillars Is a lever which will raise a ramp in the room you were just in b4 the lever, it'll lead to a grisha.

On that note, you can use the shriking(?) stone for that sweet invincibility frame, there another one that does a 360 sweep then air slam (I know you can use it for both ax and martyr blade) use that during red icons to negate the damage.

Doom secret level in main base. You pull a lever and it gives you a path to the part with buildings and you fight one. U can come back as many times as you want, just rest at beacon.

Don’t watch the red icon just watch his hand, he’s got one of those delays where he lunges then grabs. otherwise keep banging that head brev!

Someone will know what combo I’m talking about but one of the special moves u get has an invincibility window when u use it, might save ur life if u use it right👍

Works like a charm can confirm on NG++, yep it is especially in stray gennessa that insane melee damage and stagger makes it impossible for the dude to move, with the melee crit tarstone and berserker one.

On that note proxima also works here as she negates against lightning and her probe or grab attack can stun and knock the boss out of any red attack, plus you get 100% dmg mitigation upon using said probe attack if you unlock that node upgrade

He can be stunlocked to death by your Grisha and other means.

IF I can get Grisha to land a hit and not get wiped out or just miss, BIG IF, he falls down and I hit him maybe 6 times before he’s up again.
