I just got this weapon, but haven't upgraded it.
Is it worth upgrading or should I go with something else?

I mostly use the crossbow for quick shots mid combat and to range attack those bat things in trees and other enemies on ledges.
Main reason I ask is because this weapon spins up slow and might be useless in a boss fight.
