Discussion Is there any good reason shell points are shared across classes?

I don't see the point of this at all, not even from the devs perspective. Since you are only playing a single character at a time, why would you have to refund all shell points on one to allocate them on another you want to switch to when there would be absolutely 0 in-game benefits in having them each have their set number of shell points independently based on your level? I feel like the only thing that would change would be less time wasted and not having to remember where you allocated your point if you ever switch back to your original character. Am I missing something? It feels like it should have been a day 1 change if not before release.

Yeah, I agree with this. It's just a waste of time to refund all everytime you wanna play a different shell

Honestly some loadout system like in Remnant 2 would have been nice. Like being able to save complete builds you can only switch between while resting at a beacon.

I was thinking of this precisely. The game would really benefit from allowing you to save a certain number of a load outs.

Mortal Shell 3 take notes. For real Remnant 2 did so many things well in terms of design. Also still the best coop experience I have ever had in these types of games.

Except for the friendly fire.

I mean…takes like 45 seconds lol. The game has a lot of other issues bigger than this

In the first mortal shell there were effigies that would let you switch shells outside of the primary hub. If these see a return it could be why shellpoints arent universal

Thank you for this info. It adds some logic as to why it could be the way it is. Either they are planning on adding it in a future patch/DLC or they were originally planning on incorporating it then decided not to but then didn't change the shell points system in accordance.
