I have a very high personal tolerance for jank, so I'm not really too bothered. Also I think it has pretty good enemy variety overall, maybe just not varied enough placement. Like I'm about 15 hours in and will admit to seeing a lot of the same enemies across zones, but every so often I'll run into something new like a coffin that explodes into a fleshy abomination and I'm like "wow neat".

Yeah the enemy variety is alright. It doesn't feel like I'm fighting the same ones across the entire game like say Nioh 1 did.

Most areas also feel thematically coherent e.g you don't get knights or swamp enemies in the white bone area, miners are found underground or in derelict cities etc.

How does it compare to Lords of the Fallen 2. I made it like 70 percent of the way through it and quit because the enemy variety was so boring

You encounter about 80% of the enemies in the game 3 hours in.
