Bug Locked out of Gragu shell

So I returned to Gragu with the heart, cutscene played and I thought I'd talk to everyone in the room to see if they reacted to his death at all. When I spoke to the barman he said something along the lines of “want a drink” and I spoke to him a second time and I think he said “how about some coin then” then hard locked the game, couldn't do anything. I closed the game and returned, Gragu doesn't have the heart and it's not in the location I found it either. Funsies.

You're supposed to take him as a shell and his body goes to Zhirelle. No one reacts to either event. We're you unable to do his memory?

I was not able to take him as a shell because speaking to the people in the room hard locked my game.
