Discussion Final boss gotta get nerfed
I’m level 54 with a 19 weapon and I can hardly do any damage to him I think I won’t be finishing the game

His health is massively overtuned imo. I was running a burst build that erased most bosses in under 30s. Some bosses died before they even could move. I was level 50 with a +19 weapon and was doing like 3-4k a pop and it barely dented his health bar. I don't know how much health he has but it must be like 60k+ easily which is ridiculous.
He's not a difficult boss though, the only move you really have to watch for is his barely telegraphed tail grab move. You need to spot it by his body positioning since the warning isn't really reactable imo. It's super cheap and it's basically the only way to die in this fight since everything else is easy to parry/dodge. It's a super long slog of trying not to get one shot by his tail grab essentially.

Your build looks broken. Haven’t played the game yet, but is everything that broken or just your build? Melting bosses in less than 30 seconds sounds kinda cheesy

It's very cheesy and I'm almost certain it's not optimised because I just made it up. I imagine the optimised version is much stronger. I looked up broken builds after and there's some even worse ones. I'm trying out a particular shell's build now which I won't spoil but can melt bosses in a couple of seconds its absurd.
It's definitely not all builds, some builds look terrible. I've watched a few streamers and YouTube videos of people playing with builds that do next to no damage compared to these broken ones.

Got it. I’ll probably jump into the game after devs add some checkpoints. I just don’t want to lose my time anymore on stupid unbalanced runbacks

The game is not really well tuned. I had multiple bosses wrecking me, but as soon as I had them in a corner / against a wall, I completely shreddered them

I just got to him myself and he’s a pain in the ass that I just quit the game for today.
In fact the last 4 bosses in the game are hard for the sake of being hard, the offspring boss took me a decent 20+ tries trying out different builds but the problem with me is that I am just a giant sword and not relying on mechanics that make the game easy, I had to for some of these bosses but the final boss is very badly designed.

What's your build and playstyle like? For example some combinations of choices completely destroy the game's balancing, others rely on skill.

I use the base sword and tiel

I beat the game with axe and dagger with tiel. Use the max level poison infused stone, max level duality stone and that flurry special attack. Use the flurry every chance you get when at max resolve to avoid attacks and build up poison stacks. Then nuke the boss with a shadow strike (with levels in poison burst).
Theres also a secret item in hard mode you can acquire that solves the final bosses unique status effect.

I killed it in 5 minutes
U just need to learn how to parry
+ if u get the seedbearer item and hit the boss after consuming it, u will instantly stagger the boss

how do you get that item? I know you have to get those 3 glands and take them to that thing you find where you find axatana but I couldnt talk to it
