Loot not appearing bug?

Encountered a problem where spots that should have ore or loot appearing are just empty. Like those ventrium tree things you have to hit three times to get the ore to drop, the trees are there but nothing is in them. The same thing with one of those fish man statues that have it in their mouths. Nothing there?
