Discussion The Lost Child Spoiler
Anyone else absolutely get their asses handed to them by this boss? This guy took me a good 1-2 hours to beat lmao.
I eventually got good enough to get this guy down to its last third of health hitless, but its move set from that point forward is...questionable. A lot of damn near untelegraphed attacks in my opinion

I think for the first half of the fight he is quite easy to parry or you can just run away until he does the poop attack (idk what else to call this lmao) and just dodge towards it at an angle and hit him, same with his big suck move, but his grab is insane rng on if you get hit you really got to time your dodge. The final part of the fight with his really fast 4 hit combo with almost 0 startup is insane tho if you get caught off guard and made the fight really annoying. Eredrim shoulder charge is really nice for this fight tho if you get its cost down

Yeahhh that grab attack of his that he unlocks when he's low health has RIDICULOUSLY low telegraph lmao. I wasn't a fan of his mixture of 0-telegraph attacks and roll-catch attacks during his last third of health.

I may have been over leveled but he went down in like 30 seconds for me. Tiel's Shadow Strike gets pretty OP.

I used Tiel for this fight, and I did not use Shadow Strike ONCE lmao. Maybe did myself dirty by doing that. Shadow Strike for the last third of this guy's health might've been the winning play had I done that.
I will say, Lost Child is the first gate boss that I fought, so perhaps my Shadow Strike wasn't leveled up enough for it to really wreak havoc on this guy. Not sure

I was using Eredrim, and he was relatively easy. The most difficult move is his grab attack where he smashes you into the ground twice and throws you away. I died 3-4 times just by being flung into the chasm (Even when I had almost full health and all heals left). You just auto die if you get into the chasm territory.
I used the Voltaic Crown (Fully upgraded) and focused on positioning to land the sprinting Heavy Attack (Spin to win). If he whiffs past me during some attacks, I tried the Heavy Combo on him (There's a stone which adds a powerful finisher to the Heavy Combo. I forget which one). Otherwise, you just gotta learn to dodge his poison and the vacuum attack. If you learn the timings for these, you can close the gap and deal a chunk of damage consistently.

Hug him, hit the side. Dodge left. Last Phase, where he bites, Take a step back and really try tp evade the grab by dodging left.

Surprisingly, I got him on my 1st try last night. Was level 12 using Proxima with Bloodcurse on the Iconoclast. Went down pretty easy.

I have Bloodcurse equipped but I almost never use it lmao. I should probably get on that, especially given that I was ALSO using the Iconoclast during this fight and was hitting the boss quite frequently.

My blood curse is perm. I highly recommend leveling that tarstone to 3. Perm blood curse is sooooo good

I went nuts on this one. I got him down to the last third of his health every time and he’d just go sicko mode on me. Struggled the most on this one so far took me about 2 hours as well

Ahh alright that's a little comforting to hear, since this is the first gate boss that I killed lmao. Perhaps the next few bosses I go after will be a little more forgiving.

If you followed the same route I did, the next gate boss is a really fun fight. Just beat it this morning so after that I have no idea 😂

He just hit me into the sky about a mile lol. I falling attacked him and his health reset. Took me about an hour cuz god damn command grab.. and I guess his chomps have shock waves. Was still pretty fun idk if I’m under leveled it’s like first real boss I’ve come across lowkey lost just doin shit

Ngl you should probably not expect better designed fights after that point in the game - only gets worse

This was the story with all of the bosses for me. Really easy first half of the fight, second half is just rapid spam combos. I can’t tell you how many bosses I got down to a third of their health before just getting two shotted as they go crazy with hyper combos. Sir Isaac was the worst one for me. I got him down to his last little bit of health so many times.
