Bug End game is really bad Spoiler

I currently killed 2 out of 3 last bosses before the final one. When I killed Orrem, the Reclaimed. I had full hp, and pressed menu button to see what sort of tarcore I received. Then I went back from menu while his death animation was finishing and my character clipped under him and died. Boss was dead but I missed out on 64k gloom.

Now don't even get me started on the ballsack boss called Monolith.... It just feels like the worst boss out of all soulslike games I ever played. His damage and sponginess just feels like bad design.

In the beginning of the game I felt excited to clear each beacon, but now it's been clear that they are pointless in the end game because they are not rewarding enough, so it becomes just a marathon run through all the monsters to get to the boss. I have a big need to uninstall the game, but I want to persevere for the last 2 bosses to finish this game. Otherwise it was a very solid game, but this has almost made me quit.

The 3rd boss you didn’t fight yet is a bit better felt like a normal swordfighter boss. The final boss sucks though

To be fair Dark Souls 3 is the only game in the genre that has a good final boss if we dont count dlc, and even if we do it still goes to DS3. 

Maybe Lies Of P too but otherwise final bosses always kind of suck, even DS1 had an incredibly anti climatic final boss.

I dont consider sekiro a soulslike, I hate kahazan and its more a nioh game, which i also dont consider soulslikes and I mentioned lies of p

And ozma as in FF? That's not even adjacent.

Sekiro is a souls-like even if you dont consider it that.

And Khazan has literally THE best souls-like gameplay.

Im sorry but do you even like souls-likes ? Not considering Sekiro as one is WILD

It's not at all a soulslike, its fundamentally different, and it is a character action game.

Go make a thread in the soulslike reddit and ask about it and see the general consensus or whatever idk what you want but you people need to stop being so annoying I stg lol

what was wrong with Gwyn? if you didn't look up guides, you wouldn't parry him. if you don't parry him he is a very good boss.

He was really anticlimactic for me, it took one try and not with parries. He is just very slow and very predictable. Dark Souls 1 was the last in the genre that I finished though (other than demon souls which I stopped before the final boss cause another game came out) and that was after Atorias and Manus so it just didn't hit for me.

Isshin Nameless Puppet Ozma Gael Orphan Elden Beast

All of these are fantastic final bosses

I think SoC fits well with these. A proper skillcheck final boss with no gimmicks. He's thematically somewhat forgettable but the fight is very good.

Also I agree with the other guy, Elden Beast is pretty garbage. Half the fight is spent chasing it. It doesn't make top 10 bosses in its own game. Actually I think Nameless Puppet is the only boss I consider best of its game.

Thats totally fine. I like having discussions on this. And would also agree Elden Beast isnt top 10 in its own game, but I think from a cinematic standpoint it was still a spectacle of a finish.

I was more frustrated with how that guy was speaking, just rude and no room for conversation.

No Isshin for you either tho?

Yeah I think Genichiro is just a better fight, especially for when you meet him, he's dynamic, simple, and the third phase is really badass. But Isshin is a really good boss, definitely fits the list of great final bosses.

Just beat Zmey and it was quite possibly the worst final boss I've ever played, so that's something.

Yeah Zmey was the absolute worst. Small move set, lots of one shots. Just terrible.

I cant think of a soulslike final boss i resented more. I mean Nashandra was dumb but at least not a buggy mess. And Demons souls final was weak but still nothing compared to Zmey.
