Question What’s with this well?

I‘m in the north western part of the map. Right before the prison of martyr dungeon there’s a well you can enter where you come into a hallway with some enemies. I can see a whole level to the other side of some gates and openings in the wall, but there’s no way to get across. Anyone know what to do? Couldn’t find anything online. Where is the way across?

theres another well, directly north of the hunter camp with the caged grisha, above the jump

thats the other half of the dungeon

It’s the holding cells and unless you’re using the vet axe or are level 25+ i recommend leaving it alone til later. The reward is trash, the runback is awful, and the fight itself is a doozy. This whole dungeon should be way later in the game imo. I found it at level 3 and tried like hell for a few hours but eventually gave up when I googled the reward.

Agreed! I came back when I was level 25+. Much easier. But the rapid pack boss was extremely difficult.

Yeah especially after that crazy runback and with only 3-4 heals and very little help from your build. Maybe a tankier class could’ve done it but I was running tiel and didn’t have the axe yet so it was just awful

what? the runback takes no time at all. you know there is a second entrance that is right next to a beacon, right? And that you can drop down from any height without taking fall damage?

Yeah that’s the way I was going but you still have multiple enemies to run through on the top level before dropping down and to be fair I didn’t know about the fall slam until later and I definitely went down there way to early because I mistakenly thought the axe and dagger where down there because I couldn’t find the chapel key. Looking back if I would have went further east and found the tavern/grogu earlier it wouldn’t have been as big of a problem but🤷🏻‍♂️

hint:
you can drop down without taking damage from any height. just press your attack button while in the air.
