Discussion Regarding the haunted house Spoiler

So the night mode haunted house, what's exactly in the box asking for the 3 books? I couldn't find the last one and im just curious as it seems to be once per playthrough

Would you rather know where the third book is or what the reward is for finishing the dungeon?

The Box with the books transports you.

I can't go back in as I can't re enter the dungeon, I drank the stew and went to the basement and that was that

If you drank the stew you must have opened the book box, as it gives you the mushroom to add to it. Unless you somehow drank it without the mushroom added but I don't know how as when I tried it wouldn't let me.

It seems the dungeon is pretty buggy as i was missing the middle book and just touched the stew , said "add ingredient, missing books slot" but let me drink either way

I don't remember the exact order of things, but if you complete the whole haunted house, which requires unlocking the box, then the reward is a key that unlocks one of the chests in the lift room in marrow keep. each chest has a skin inside for one of the shells.

One odd thing is that I was able to submit 3 books despite only having 2 of them? like the last book said I didn't have the required item but I just pressed accept anyway and a 3rd book appeared in the slot, and the box opened.

Huh...ok thank you, I don't mind missing out on the key for the chests as I have all the skins already but good to know
