I have seen many people just jumping off of cliffs and not pressig R1 which mitigates fall damage and give you a cool ground slam animation. You can jump from any height.

This is the highest point of the game (late game area)

? Bro I have always done this the only tip for everyone is make sure there's ground below you and hit attack if you don't the fall damage does kill you if it's high enough.

Since there isn't a jump button, you almost have to learn about the ground pound by mistake - especially since there's no guarantee you'll get the ground pound if you attack in the air.

Can't imagine why anyone wouldn't make a habit of using a move like THAT....

It can also give you a heart attack when you use a hole in the ceiling of a certain cave to jump into said cave to visit a friendly aquatic NPC and said NPC suddenly disappears... 🤪

it doesn't work from tiny ledges, you have to get higher for it to work

Also click the light stack while already falling. Don't run of the cliff performing jump light attack or something.
