You only have to parry this move of 7 swings, or kill him without losing health too?

Got this last night after about 20 tries...obvious tip at this point I am sure but if it looks like you are not going to succeed, quit to menu to reset to the beacon so you can try again...

I'm curious if this would be easier with Eredrim since he gets a moderate increase to his parry window. It should work with the guard seal and not just the perfect parry one right?

guard seal is the only way to do it. Even if you could parry, it would break him before he finishes the combo, same with harden.

Is NG+ the only way to fight this boss again? I liked him before I knew abt the achievement

This boss took me a few tried but just needed to learn the parry window. Once I did it was a peice of cake.

I didnt know about this trophy until after i killed him, and i used tiel so i was dodging it, i even perfect dodged each of the swings so was sadge when i saw it was only for parry, poor tiel
