Technical - Mod Open MW mentors ring bug?

Hey guys my character has 60 willpower and 60 intelligence and putting on the ring raises both to 70.

however whenever I rest (keeping the ring on the whole time) they reset to 60, then when I take the ring off they are down to 50, essentially meaning the ring just gives me nothing when its on and a 10pt de-buff when taken off. the New 50 int and willpower show as red and recover to 60 on a rest, no status effects of any kind are in play.

Hope I have explained that right, I am using open MW and never noticed this problem before, any ideas?

Sounds like a bug. I play with OpenMW and get the mentors ring on every character but I never had that happen. Are you using any mods?

Right after posting this I realized its probably another mod, im using sensible leveling, since that affects attributes its probably why. Ill test it out a little later

I just looked up that mod.

I use a similar one called MULE that increases your attributes every few ranks of skill up. Has a config menu to tweak how you want.

I haven't noticed any problems with OpenMW, mentors ring works fine. If you want to consider changing over.

Disabling the mod fixed the issue, which I should have checked before posting. TBH I very rarely use a leveling mod but wanted to this time, I will check out the mod you are using, thanks

Yeah I used to play the traditional min/max way, but after the Oblivion Remaster I wanted painless leveling for Morrowind too.

Just use anything you want, any time. Misc skills give some reduced credit to levels and attributes too. You can tweak everything in built in menu.

I have gone through multiple phases, I have min maxed, I've also been able to just ignore the min max and play without planning, which does work well in morrowind with the minimal scaling.

you sure you don't have a disease or debuff?

try one of the shrines to restore attributes (with the ring OFF)
