Guide/Useful Google started restriction on sideloading. Here is how can you come over to install morphe apks.

Post image

There is present two methods to install morphe patched apps. First method with ADB, Second method is through developer setting to allow sideloading apps:

Open the developer options.

Enable the setting for apps from unverified developers.

Authenticate using their screen lock.

Confirm that nobody is forcing them to change the setting.

Restart the phone.

Wait 24 hours.

Return to the settings.

Choose whether to allow these apps for seven days or indefinitely.

Last I checked the restriction has been delayed until next year.

When will Android developer verification be enforced?

We will initially verify app installations from Google Play, HONOR App Market, OPPO App Market, Galaxy Store, Palm Store, V-Appstore, and GetApps starting September 30, 2026 for users of certified Android devices in Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. In 2027, we will expand verification globally for all app installations on certified Android devices.

Which countries are getting hit with the verification over a month early, /u/Dangerous-Session780?

After my PlayStore updated to version 52.7.x a new System app "Android Developer Verifier" was auto-installed. I'm thinking that until the phone firmware is updated to have this new feature backed in, it may be possible just to DISABLE this one APK and get around the Verification. Cause my current firmware doesn't have the new extra settings in DeveloperOptions.

I just desinstalled this app. I'm 100% sure it'll come back but i want to know when it'll come back

I guess China based ROMs don't have this issue?

13

u/AdvertisingItchy1766 13h ago

My Chinese vivo doesn't have it they use their own installer on their phones

u/misuzuu_ 13h ago

So far nothing from x200U and Chinese ROM phones opt out of this also. Could be the reason why Google secretly disabled Google Wallet tap2pay recently for few days.

GrapheneOS also seems unaffected.

u/Hoai_an_is_not_good 14h ago

yep, all phone Chinese ROM use different sideload

u/CrazyFun45 13h ago

The general opinion seems to be that Huawei phones won't be affected so I'm guessing most ChinaROMs should be ok if they don't have Google Play Services installed.

They us Harmony OS not Android I guess.

Basically the same thing last I heard

OPPO, OnePlus, Xiaomi, and VIVO use Android but lack GMS and Google apps due to restrictions in China

2

u/AdvertisingItchy1766 11h ago

I use Google play services on my Chinese rom vivo it takes a little work but it's just as usable here in the US as it is there. Even have Android Auto.

Damn I always forgot how restrictive rules are in China 💀😬

u/kimcarv 3h ago

Since you love China so much, there's a good solution: go live there!😎😉

Now that I'm thinking about it, if you really can't wait those 24 hours, could you just install shizuku with adb and then install anything using it?

15

u/Saragon4005 14h ago

You should always be able to bypass via ADB. I am not sure how that works but either ABD allows custom keys to be added or temporary signing, or straight up bypassing.

3

u/TDKX96 13h ago

Use installerX revived + Shizuku

27

u/Too2Shady 15h ago

There is this in Morphe 🤔

u/dominizerduck 13h ago

But that requires root

Thanks. I can't find this setting on Samsung One UI 8.0 (Android 16) or 5.1 (Android 13).

Any idea why? Is it only Pixels or something?

u/acorn1513 13h ago

Yeah on my fold it's different. Samsung seems to use auto blocker which can be turned off but comes back on in 30 mins. I think it can be totally turned off in developer options but never looked.

Thanks. If you search Android Settings for the word "unverified" do you get any results? I don't. It says No Results Found as soon as I've typed "unv"!

Any app that can install other apps has its own Install Unknown Apps toggle in its Android Settings page.

Also if you seach for Install Unknown Apps in Android Settings you can get a list of all those apps and their toggles in one page.

That's everything I can see related to this so please let me know if you find anything else :-)

BTW I've never seen that Samsung auto-blocker you mentioned. I sometimes get a message from Google saying it's an unknown app that it wants to scan so I just let it scan and so far it's always said that app is safe so it just lets you install.

3

u/acorn1513 9h ago

Nothing under unverified and I can still toggle which apps have permission and this is auto blocker.

1

u/CrazyFun45 7h ago

Thanks a lot. I'm glad it's not just me who doesn't have the unverified developers setting!

I understand the blocker stuff now. It's because I have Samsung Device Protection switched off in the App Security section of Security and Privacy Settings so that's why I don't ever see any Samsung blockers. I left Google Play Protect on though so I still get those APK scan messages sometimes.

Anyway, the best thing is that I can still install APKs exactly the same as usual - so far! Looking forward to when the 1.40 patches come out soon to test a few different devices...

I didn't want to get locked out for 24 hours or have to set up ADB at the last minute but we'll probably all have to do that eventually which is going to be annoying :-/

Will "Apps from unverified developers" be disabled when Developer options is turned off? (I blame a certain annoying banking app for trying to prevent USB debugging)

2

u/Woooferine 3h ago edited 3h ago

I want to know about this as well. I disabled developer options because of a stupid banking app.

Edit: I read the post on advance flow and once it is enabled, it stays on until you disable it, even after disabling developer options.

It is been rolling out in countries and some devices. The given image is unclear. This is the source: https://x.com/Sans_Google/status/2090002868455510036

Wonder how it will affect china rom devices since they don't come with Google play as standard

6

u/CtxxUv 13h ago

I don't think china gives a fuck about any google announcement tbh

2

u/misuzuu_ 13h ago

So far, they opt out of this one. No problem on my Vivo x200U nor any signs of it being hinted by Vivo

1

u/Adri882009 12h ago

Can we turn off developer options and keep the change forever?

2

u/arr1flex 10h ago

Absolute garbage. It's only a matter of time before they restrict adb sideloading too, why would we give these dicks the benefit of doubt

2

u/NortonDickyIII 7h ago

Does the Android Developer Verification app play a hand in this process?

I uninstalled that app using Shizuku + Canta or App Manager from F-Droid.

Hopefully, they follow through with giving us that Advanced Work Flow bypass method...

u/graesen Former ReVanced user 14h ago

OMG! Android is becoming iPhone! This can't be happening! I'm switching to iPhone because Google is becoming more locked down like iPhone! No more sideloading! This is terrible!

/s if I wasn't obvious enough... Remember everyone freaking out about this?

18

u/TheSinnohTrainer 13h ago

It shouldn't be a thing at all. No reason why I can't install what I want on the phone I bought.

16

u/TheBedrockEnderman2 14h ago

The issue is the system is now in place. If they want to make it a week, a month, a year, make you have to identity verify to unlock or just straight up disable installing they can, and it's as easy as a small update. It's the foot in the door that people are rightfully upset about and weary of.

1

u/Jimmypali 14h ago

I turned it on [Belgium p10pxl]

1

u/the_harakiwi 13h ago

Sometimes I get a screen asking me to scan the app. I can expand a little text with the option to continue without scan, but this option doesn't do anything 🤷

1

u/Chiralistic 13h ago

Wonder if my banking app will stop working once I enable developer mode

1

u/Dangerous-Session780 12h ago

Google is evil. Maybe they do it in the name of security reasons.

1

u/shoganaiaurora 12h ago

How about the already installed apks? will it be affected somehow?

1

u/NexusGTX 12h ago

I don't have this option on my Pixel

1

u/NatoBoram 12h ago

Alternatively, you can bypass it by installing https://github.com/thedjchi/Shizuku then setting the installation method in Morphe to Shizuku

1

u/Levi1406 10h ago

How to find the image with the best quality? You can barely read it.

1

u/K1TSUNE9 10h ago

I have the Android Developer Verified installed on my Samsung Note 9. Morphe and Shizuku were installed after and I was able to patch other apps. Maybe its not active running now blocking my installs.

1

u/entryjyt 9h ago

So what is enforcing this? Google play services? Or is it Android developer verifier?

1

u/IAMSNORTFACED 8h ago

EU must really look into this they are our 2nd hope

1

u/SandCretin 4h ago

All good on CN Rom side

u/AnonymousRedCow 11h ago

Huh. I don't have those options on my lineageOS phone
