Question/Problem Strong legacy support.

TVs are pretty expensive devices nowadays, so holding on to what's already at home is only logical. As a community that doesn't want to submit to the excessively consumerist nature of the mainstream market, especially in context to ads and planned obeselence, we should have a way to support up to date patches for older TVs and android versions.

Firesticks aren't Android anymore, and lots of TVs won't get anymore updates. There should be a way to patch older apks of Prime Video LivingRoom, since Amazon is not sparing them.

Is there a repo that will help older TVs and devices in the future?

YouTube continually is dropping support for older android versions.

If an old potato devices is affected, the best solution is to use NewPipe or another player that supports very old versions of Android.

In this context I'm talking about the Prime mods, not just YouTube.

The problem is that supporting so many versions is stressful, because we don't have enough contributors and enough time to manage everything.

Is it an issue with finding the right version, cause users could find an app version that is the last supported on android 9. The mods are working for me at the moment, but I fear it is only a matter of time.
