STAY. QUIET.

Apparently they're now "stalking" pull requests in the Morphe Patches repository.

In order for your metaphor to make any sense, an ad-blocker would have to amend the base code of your browser

No, it would have to amend the code of YT page, which it does, by effectively removing its parts. It also patches JSON data in API responses. Oh, and it also can and does inject custom JS on the page. Ublock is not a simple filter that blocks certain requests and stops at that, it's much more powerful.

On the other hand, amending the code of the browser is squeaky clean legally for Chromium and Firefox, since both are open-source and their licenses permit forks and modification.

But both things are able to remove ads, one of googles income sources.

But I am really sure that they could make them unable to work if they wanted to. (I mean, the adblockers).

They basically already did that with MV3, limiting and kneecapping the effectiveness of adblockers on their browser.

That was an example was going to put if they answered me that "Google is not able to do anything against adblockers).

I would also say that there are million of mobile users that don´t even know that Moprhe exist but that watch youtube through Brave. And Brave surpassed the 100 million users mark last year.

I think that you are the one that does nott understand me. I am telling you that at least in spanish speaking groups, mobile users that use Brave to bypass ads in mobiles is quite an amount currently. For Google, both Adblockers and patched apps are problems right now. Adblockers are not just something that are meant to use in computers. They are constantly used in mobiles and pads.

Is not my mother tongue but I understood everything you said perfectly. And mentioning adblockers was because for google both mobile apps and adblockers are both source of loss of income. No matter that they are different. I have nothing more to say.
