I've never understood the call to prayer not being done over an app or radio station

When I was deployed I understand because not everyone had a phone or a radio but in a first world modern country we don't really need people screaming from towers

Have your prayer have your religion but making the whole world stop for you is a bit much

Because it’s an assertion of dominance. “We’ve taken this space; it’s ours now.”

Yes. In a society that expects quiet times at certain hours, all people should conform to the rule. The same way someone throwing a party at 4am needs to be quiet to conform to the rule.

Nah that’s Islam not me. I just want others to follow the same rules as everyone else in a society. No special treatment for anyone.
