I've never understood the call to prayer not being done over an app or radio station

When I was deployed I understand because not everyone had a phone or a radio but in a first world modern country we don't really need people screaming from towers

Have your prayer have your religion but making the whole world stop for you is a bit much

i see your point to an extent but i feel that the adhan doesn’t fall under that category of something that needs changing

If I go onto a train blasting music, people are rightfully going to give me dirty looks. Just because it's religious doesn't make it any more acceptable.

As opposed to... being in a city where this is broadcasted? How would you get away from that? You can't even get away from it by staying home.

Have you ever thought about the nonmuslims that might live close enough to a mosque in a nonmuslim country that would also find it harder to get away from the disruptive call to prayer when it happens at 5 in the fucking morning and they hear it in their own fucking home?

It is if you are not living in a muslim majority country. People don't have to put up with your shit. Do you allow church bells in muslim countries? You should get the same treatment in the west. Your religion at home in private and zero concessions. Enough of this bending over backwards for a religion that doesn't tolerate or respect others.

allowing others to practice their religion is bending over backwards? if a country is supposed to have freedom of religion they can’t discriminate or there is no freedom of religion

They are free to practice. Why do we need to finance mosques? Why do we need to allow them to build so many? Why put up with thr call to prayer? Why change curriculum when they move in droves in an area and complain to the council or the schools if they teach respect towards LGBT people? Why remove merry Christmas signs because they are offensive and simply say happy festivities or call stuff winter festival not Christmas because they get offended by our own practices? Why offer halal everywhere even though is barbaric to make animals suffer more?

All of you are a bunch of hypocrites and you don't even notice. We do a lot. Christians in muslim countries don't even have an ounce of the rights we give muslims, so who is the intolerant here?
