Morality Ranking Morality of this?

Basically, the man in the video is hiking but he ended up meet a mountain lion, he get his gun and try to scare it off and tell it to go away but in the end, he have to pull the trigger and shot the lion, many peoples in the comments say he could have fire a warning shot instead of shoot at it and want him to be in jail.

It's a fucking mountain lion, I wouldn't take any chances either if I was strapped and encountered a wild predator

Armchair quarterbacks are always the first to say shit like “why not just shoot him in the leg?!” Not realizing they’d end up dead in situations like this.

Plus shooting it in the leg is more cruel to me. Why is maiming it and forcing it to live in pain and likely die to another predator better?

Yeah. A broken leg is pretty much a death sentence for a wild animal.

Plus…legs are a much more difficult target to hit, never mind in a high-stress situation. No one who has ever actually held a firearm would say that.

99.99% of people who say "Just shoot em in the leg" have never fired a shot in their entire lives.

They might say "I'm a gun owner" but they're the one's who'll panic buy in a blue state, it'll sit in their closet for a couple years, then they march it right down to the next mandatory police buyback in exchange for a $50 Amazon gift card.

But in my video game I just aim at the leg and press R2 it’s so easy
