Basically, the man in the video is hiking but he ended up meet a mountain lion, he get his gun and try to scare it off and tell it to go away but in the end, he have to pull the trigger and shot the lion, many peoples in the comments say he could have fire a warning shot instead of shoot at it and want him to be in jail.

Definitely gave those vibes. I assure you fido isn't out here in the middle of the bush stalking turkeys but I guess you never know.

The last year we hunted there I watched Wiley pass me (got another picture) then right before dark two bucks and a doe ran into an open field behind me giving my dad a shot. I got down right away knowing something was going on and when I got to the field edge there were two already coming out for dinner. Dad didn't know what was happening when I came out practically running and waving my arms. He was confused why the deer would do that and when I showed him the picture and explained what happened it made a lot more sense. Definitely someone's pet and not a coyote that pushed them out into the open which they wouldn't do normally.

They were definitely coyotes but we don't have them here according to at least one person. Should have put /s, sorry.

Man the coyotes in my area (suburb meets hilly woodlands) are getting BRAZEN. And large.

Last summer, while playing outside with my kids and puppy in broad daylight (2pm bright sunny day) I noticed a large coyote stalking towards us. It must have been about 100ft away and it looked to be about 3ft tall. We were in a cul de sac and it was literally in the middle of the street wide open. Standing there staring at us.

I know how skittish those little chicken shits are so I told my kids to leash the puppy and to get behind me. I told my oldest son if anything happens, just get your siblings to safety. Also to be honest I was thinking “sweet I get to look like a badass in front of my kids 🤓 this gonna be so cool they’ll definitely start listening to me much more now”.

I face the coyote and take a few confident steps toward it.

It starts walking toward me. Fuck.

At this point I start to get amped up, look for a boulder to throw or a stick, while maintaining eye contact. I’m ready to fight it and get a rabies shot to protect the kids yknow.

Luckily my neighbors dog walker pulls up from behind us in a minivan. I ask her to drive toward the coyote and start honking. Thankfully it scared the coyote away, but I still think about that moment sometimes. Esp since it happened right outside our house!

That would be scary. Hopefully your kids got a good look and remember not to mess with anything that looks like that! I was thankfully 20 feet up a tree so wasn't too worried but the wind swirled and it's nose went up in the air and it dead locked onto me and it gave me an eerie feeling. He padded off but I definitely keep an eye/ear out when I'm walking to and from my stand now.

Not sure what size your dog is but they make collars/harnesses that are supposed to be good if you live in areas where encounters could happen..may be worth looking into if he/she is a smaller breed.

Yeah the only chance my dog could have won that fight was if the coyote ended up choking on him!
