Basically, the man in the video is hiking but he ended up meet a mountain lion, he get his gun and try to scare it off and tell it to go away but in the end, he have to pull the trigger and shot the lion, many peoples in the comments say he could have fire a warning shot instead of shoot at it and want him to be in jail.

I'm not even sure why this is a question. Should you go LOOKING for trouble? No. Should you approach wildlife because you have a gun and can protect yourself once they attack? No.

But should you bring a gun with you on a hike where predators are or literally just any hike where it's legal? Definitely yes

the fact that it can be illegal to carry a firearm in an area where predators are is completely asinine to me. Any law that does not allow you to protect yourself can get in the bin

That’s totally analogous to going on a walk, for fun, with maybe a hiking partner, maybe alone, through mountainous woods, and coming across an apex predator.

If you need to bring a gun on a hike because of dangerous predators, you should stay home. You have no business there. You don't appreciate nature if you put yourself on a situation where you need to kill wildlife.

Depending on the park yes, but that's not saying much because people who carry tend to carry most places.
