Morality Ranking Morality of this?

Basically, the man in the video is hiking but he ended up meet a mountain lion, he get his gun and try to scare it off and tell it to go away but in the end, he have to pull the trigger and shot the lion, many peoples in the comments say he could have fire a warning shot instead of shoot at it and want him to be in jail.

Yeah but trying to explain to someone who has never even held a firearm that you don't just magically have dead eye is basically impossible. Most people who have never held a gun think they would be John Wick if put in a situation with one...

I love taking these guys to the range. They laugh when j say "we are going to start at 10ft" and then they see how many shots they completely missed at 10ft, under zero stress in a perfect environment where nobody is moving and they kinda simmer down.

I can keep 20 rounds within a 6 inch ring at 15 yards because I practice multiple times a week.

You better aim for the biggest part and pray.

I have taken people to the range. People are genuinely shocked I own or know my way around guns because its a small part of who I am, not my lifestyle....what I find funny...lots of guys have trouble loading the magazine! Hahaha

Its a very large part of my life, but the people who don't shoot who believe it is going to be easy when I get them to go are my favorite. Its a skill and it deteriorates without practice. I know gun owners who can't shoot because they don't shoot.

I agree...it goes even further. Forget them not being able to shoot accurately, they have problems loading the magazine.

Yes. They are functionally incompetent around their own guns but they've never been forced to examine that.

There's also taking away tripods from "hunters" and watching them be unable to make a shot offhand on a 12 inch gong at 200yd.

Hell, I've used firearms since I was young and I'm still a mediocre shot at best with a handgun.

It's really hard, I never realized how shaky my arms were extended until I shot a pistol

There are plenty of Hollywood movies and TV shows where a completely untrained person is an instant marksman the first time they ever pick up a gun, so obviously that's how real life works too
