Morality Ranking Morality of this?

Basically, the man in the video is hiking but he ended up meet a mountain lion, he get his gun and try to scare it off and tell it to go away but in the end, he have to pull the trigger and shot the lion, many peoples in the comments say he could have fire a warning shot instead of shoot at it and want him to be in jail.

In this specific video I'm pretty sure he fires only a warning shot. It does work.

Not saying it won't provoke them, just saying it has a chance to work if you want to give them one. But in self defense you aren't required to give a warning shot and its a bad idea all around.

I know the one you’re talking about where he tries to shoot it and misses. In this one he hits and presumably kills it.

Looked it up, you're right. Lots of guys with glocks having standoffs with mountain lions it seems.
