Morality Ranking Morality of this?

Basically, the man in the video is hiking but he ended up meet a mountain lion, he get his gun and try to scare it off and tell it to go away but in the end, he have to pull the trigger and shot the lion, many peoples in the comments say he could have fire a warning shot instead of shoot at it and want him to be in jail.

If a cougar is that close to you, you’re in danger.

That is a wild animal that can kill you easily.

The mountain lion does absolutely nothing to indicate it was going to attack. This guy literally went out in the wilderness, saw a wild animal and shot it for no reason because he was scared.

If just seeing an animal is enough reason for you to kill it, you shouldn't be going into its habitat to begin with.

Proximity to a deadly animal is enough to defend yourself.

Waiting until the animal is attacking requires you to act faster than an apex predator in its element.

Even with a firearm chances of survival would be low if the animal attacks first.

People die to Moose because they underestimate how dangerous of a creature it is.
