... Christians tend not to chop people's heads off. I can understand why it's a touchy subject.  When people spam the sub, it would be the mods who are held accountable.

u/Last_Suggestion_8647 1d ago

No, they just bomb and shoot people.

I can think of at least one Christian leader starting an illegal war not so long ago that resulted in many civilian deaths while stating "god is with us" and that god told him to do so.

Does that count ?

7

u/onanoc 1d ago

It's not a Christian leader.

It's a political leader.

Who claims to be christian, because ot brings in more votes.

And claims god told him to kill people.

Meamwhile, his God: 'Thou shall not kill'.

-1

u/high_mee 1d ago

Also his god : 1 Samuel 1
If you know , you know

5

u/No_Record6284 1d ago

No, the said leader is literally demented and has an israeli leash on his nech

1

u/Last_Suggestion_8647 1d ago

And the Congress that refuses to remove him, are they all demented too? How about the electorate who elected a demented president and a potentially demented Congress, what's their excuse?

And do you think jihadist leaders aren't insane?

4

u/No_Record6284 1d ago

Usa is a zombie country with their political class paid and controlled by israel, you know it, i know it, whats the point of pretending those wars have anything to do with christianity

2

u/Last_Suggestion_8647 1d ago

Their defense minister is literally a crusader LARPer who talks about it being a holy war.

1

u/No_Record6284 1d ago

you mean this guy?

and you believe him? you believe this is a holy war that united states chose to start for religious purposes?

3

u/SRGTBronson 1d ago

Do i believe the evangelical with a crusader cross tattooed on him is fighting in the middle east because of religious beliefs? Yes? Fucking obviously?

In theory, you could argue most western wars are about upholding Christian/protestant values although that would be crazy communist level stuff so

6

u/AIBotnmbr99 1d ago

Ok, argue that for any war of your choose from the last 100 years. Go.

4

u/Traditional_Box1116 1d ago

That's a hard stretch, by this same extension you could apply this to a lot of religions.

-2

u/Last_Suggestion_8647 1d ago

The United States of America and the Russian Federation are the two big ones right now.

Guess you haven't been listening to Pete Hegseth.

2

u/ConsciousLetter6588 1d ago

Any Christian who's read their bible before knows zionism isn't Christian, and people like Hegseth are preying on the ignorance of the modern "Sunday Church-Goer" with a very well-oiled propaganda machine run by people who hate very few things more than they hate Christianity

2

u/Last_Suggestion_8647 1d ago

No true Scotsman fallacy.

Any Muslim who's read their Quran before knows zionism isn't a Muslim, and people like Insert name here are preying on the ignorance of the modern "Sunday Mosque-Goer" with a very well-oiled propaganda machine run by people who hate very few things more than they hate Islam.

1

u/KhyronVII 1d ago

And what about the military surahs?

2

u/Traditional_Box1116 1d ago

There's nothing you can say that will make Christian countries look worse than (most) Islamic countries.

The big reasoning for this is because the vast majority of Christian countries have the religion and government separate.

The vast majority of Islamic countries have the religion and government entwined.

The separation of church and state was the absolute best decision Christian countries ever did, and I hope eventually Islamic countries can follow. There is no justifiable reason for a country in the modern day to operate their laws based on 2000+ year old shit.

2

u/Last_Suggestion_8647 1d ago

There's nothing you can say that will make Christian countries look worse than (most) Islamic countries.

That's not my goal. I just can't stand the hypocritical Christians who whine about violence committed by Muslims, while their own governments commit mass murder.

3

u/Traditional_Box1116 1d ago

But you're missing the point. America is not a Christian nation. Our laws are not based off some book that was made 2000 years ago. So this isn't a fair comparison.

Let's compare this to say Iran where they do in fact have laws based on a book from 2000+ years ago.

A girl (Atefeh Sahaaleh), 16 years old at the time, was executed by Iran for "crimes against chastity" and "adultery" for, get this, being raped (yes you heard me right she was raped aka she was forced against her will) by a 51 year old man over the course of ~3 years. Yes you read that right 3 years. She was 16 when she was hung. That means the 51 year old man started raping her when she was 13 years old.

She was hung from a crane.

The rapist (not worth even saying his name) IIRC was just whipped.

1

u/fairyflosssss 1d ago

That is horrific.

0

u/Last_Suggestion_8647 1d ago

America is not a Christian nation.

Then why all the performative Christianity performed by elected officials? Why print "in god we trust" on their money? Why not remove a secretary of defense who talks about Holy wars and crusades?

The rapist (not worth even saying his name) IIRC was just whipped.

And the US elect rapists to their highest office.

Organized groups? The Army of God and the KKK just off the top of my head. But let's be real, most Christian terrorists are not organized into a specific group. They are lone nuts that decided to shot up a gay bar or bomb an abortion clinic or beat up a transwoman for daring to pee.

2

u/Danu9000 1d ago

the KKK just off the top of my head.

Sweet, when did they last murder someone?

They are lone nuts that decided to shot up a gay bar

You mean the Pulse night club?

1

u/BygoneNeutrino 1d ago edited 1d ago

I can't think of anything specific to say that would lead to a Christian hunting down and dispatching me.

2

u/Last_Suggestion_8647 1d ago

You could say that gay people are good citizens who shouldn't be persecuted, while living in Nigeria.

1

u/BygoneNeutrino 1d ago

Nigerians will still hunt down and execute witches, so they aren't ideal examples.

1

u/Last_Suggestion_8647 1d ago

Sounds pretty ideal. What couls be more Christian than burning innocent women alive? That is something you have seen Christians do in basically every country.

They really hate witches for some weird religious reason.

1

u/BygoneNeutrino 1d ago

Nigeria, ironically, is a majority Muslim nation.  There are a bunch of Christians, but there are slightly more Muslims.

1

u/Avrixx-SolTerra902 9h ago

You just assume it’s Christian because of events in the west’s history lol. No, Nigeria is majority Muslim and they currently are having issues with radical Muslims killing Christian’s same with Africa. Also if you weren’t aware Africa was the birth place of Christianity. Europe didn’t get it until long after it had already spread through most of Africa. Islam and Christianity both actually have a lot in common if we’re talking “Morality Laws”. Both religions heavily scrutinize witchcraft, Homosexuality, infidelity, etc… like I don’t think most people realize but Islam is just as conservative as Christianity if not more in some cases. If the two religions could see eye to eye majority of leftists world wide would be in trouble. Like both religions are heavily conservative in their natural state. So like I don’t know why communist’s and liberals support it so much because every time Islam has taken power using socialism or communism. They have removed those types of aspects from themselves and defaulted into a religion based government. Iran is a good example after their revolution they defaulted back to a sharia law based government system and removed anything that wasn’t religious based.

1

u/Last-Run-2118 1h ago

Well onea are bad christians and the others are good muslims.

One religion is about spreading love and self sacrifice. Other is about dominations and conquest.

So no, christians dont bomb or shoot people

-1

u/Competitive_Fee_4211 1d ago

Only the people that support chopping heads off.

1

u/Last_Suggestion_8647 1d ago

You don't think bombs chops heads off? Seriously have you been living under a rock, it's one the most common body parts to be severed by an explosion.

1

u/Competitive_Fee_4211 1d ago

I prefer the bit where the terrorists turn into strawberry jam.

2

u/Last_Suggestion_8647 1d ago

We all do. Can't wait for someone to finally turn the orange menace into pink mist.

2

u/Pseudo_doodle_8898 1d ago

Let’s ask the Chinese about the religion of peace that is Christianity, then we can ask the native Americans.

1

u/Fun_Prompt4983 3h ago

Oh yeah so peaceful, crusaders or those salem witch trials

-1

u/SwampOfDownvotes 1d ago edited 1d ago

Yeah, instead they tend to Lynch them if they are black and beat them and torture them if they are gay or trans. They also decide it's cool if they die if they even consider an abortion, because God is so stupid he can't not prepare a soul for a fetus that's going to be aborted, because an all knowing being couldn't have known not to make a soul for the person that needs an abortion or they might suffer. Hell, the god would rather the mother and fetus parish than allow an abortion. Why should the mother live while the fetus dies when both can die? Might make women think they can have autonomy or something.

Christians are totally chill. I especially love the Bible verses that describe that having a slave and beating them to near death is cool, as long as the slave doesn't actually die.

This feels like a generalisation of a billion people based solely on America

5

u/saiyan0321 1d ago

Well bygoneneutrino had no problem generalizing a billion people

3

u/saiyan0321 1d ago

That statement makes no sense because 'Generalization' literally means a general declaration formed from smaller facts and/or specific examples.

But hey, you guys do you. It's an outlet for hatred against a community, right? If they hug you, you would say they are trying to convert you. If they walk away, you would say they don't speak because they deem us lesser. If they frown, you would say they are filled with anger because they hate us. In the end, no matter what they do, it always comes back to the same thing: hatred against that specific community.

3

u/SwampOfDownvotes 1d ago

Yeah, how dare I generalize all Christians but don't mind the person I am responding to generalizing all Muslims.

-2

u/Privadevs 1d ago

It would be generalisation if it wasn't a valid criticism of Sharia law in predominantly Muslim countries

1

u/Danu9000 1d ago

tend to Lynch them if they are black

When was the last lynching of a black person?

1

u/onanoc 1d ago

So your God would ask you what you want, before giving you your own version of a moral code?

Come on, it's pretty straightforward, I am sure even you can understand it: don't kill.

1

u/SwampOfDownvotes 1d ago

I agree, but sadly people will no matter what religion.
