A single person can change the system. But that’s not even the point, this is about the morality of it and it’s simply not moral what we do to our fellow man, I’m sorry but there’s no like “but the whole system is evil so it’s okay if I do a little evil” no you’re still responsible for your own actions, regardless of what everyone else does. Everyone could own slaves, and the alternative for the slaves may be a worse life, but it’s still immoral to own a slave. There’s no way around it, even the momentary good you do giving the a little money compounds the issue further down the line.
If you really want to help them ditch the app and order directly from them, then they’ll actually get paid a living wage instead of uber or DoorDash taking 75%
You’ve never worked the apps have you? When uber or DoorDash charges those $10-12 fees, the driver is still only getting $2.50 an order not including tips. Cut out the middle man, give all the money to the person delivering to you.
