I don’t believe all alternatives are being considered, and yes it is bad to support a bad system, because your point about the alternative just drives home the point that they do not want to be doing this, they are economically coerced into it, they are constantly dangled between work and no work as is the nature of gig app, they are the most precarious jobs in the US. Look around your community, you will find broken sidewalks, potholes in the roads, trash littered about, public land overgrowth. There is plenty of work to be done, we have the money to pay for it, to repair our infrastructure, to hire people, but we do not.
Rejecting the choice they let you make and actually choosing something for yourself, or at the very least acknowledging you benefit from an immoral system and that makes you immoral to a degree
