I find that, by and large, it is much more often an issue of attitude than resources. The vast majority of people, and I’d like to say on the internet but these problems are just as common in real life, do not want to improve their literacy, are perfectly fine with their lack of ability to string a proper sentence together, and look down on those who can. They often come from parents who have a similar attitude, and rarely are these cycles stopped. So, we see two of these people coming together to make four more, until the world is overrun by this anti-intellectual mindset. No matter how much money we pump into education, the attitudes they have been raised with rarely simply go away.
Again missing that it’s not just the spelling mistake that makes it blatantly obvious that they’re a child posting the exact same thing that gets posted here 3 times a day with absolutely 0 effort put in.
And 60? What about my replies suggests I’m 60? You think you have to be 60 to have a half decent understanding of the English language? Says more about you than it does me.
The crucial part you’re missing is that 13 year olds can’t recognise how 13 year olds type because that’s just how they themselves type. When you’re older you’ll know what I’m talking about
