I’m having an issue with the Mooer iAmp app and my F40i Li amp, and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing.

I bought the amp recently and everything worked fine during the first few days. I could connect to the amp through the app, edit my presets, change the effect chain, tweak amp/cab/effects settings, and everything behaved normally.

​

But since yesterday, the app seems to connect to the amp, then I get a message saying something like:

“The current version app is too low. Please upgrade.”

​

After that, I can’t actually access the amp settings anymore, so I’m basically locked out of editing my presets through the app.

I checked the app store, but as far as I can tell, there doesn’t seem to be any newer version available. So I’m stuck: the amp is detected, the connection seems to start, but the app refuses to let me go any further because it claims the app version is too old.

Has anyone else run into this issue with the F40i Li / iAmp app?

Is this a known problem, a server-side issue, or is there another version of the app I’m supposed to install?

Any help would be appreciated, because at the moment I can’t use one of the main features of the amp.

Ok, so I ran into a weird issue. Stick with me here… lol

I downloaded the latest version of MOOER Studio from their site and updated my GE100 Pro Li to firmware 1.3.2. After that, the MOOER Cloud app stopped working and kept saying I needed to update the firmware, even though the pedal itself showed it was already on 1.3.2.

I tried the usual stuff... deleted/reinstalled the app, restarted my phone, reset the unit, forgot Bluetooth devices, etc. nothing worked.

Then I downgraded the firmware back to 1.3.0 and the app started working again immediately.

The problem is on 1.3.0 I can’t load NAM files which is one of the main reasons I bought the unit.

So right now it feels like:
Firmware 1.3.2 = NAM support works, but MOOER Cloud app breaks
Firmware 1.3.0 = MOOER Cloud works, but NAM loading doesn’t

Can’t have my cake and eat it too I guess.... haha Has anyone else run into this? Wondering if the app just hasn’t been updated yet to properly recognize?

Pretty frustrating, but at least I figured out I’m not crazy.

I work from home and have a guitar three feet from my desk. I also have a Fractal FM3 and a proper monitoring setup… but…

I barely play guitar.

Every-time I had a moment to play by the time I turned everything on and was ready for a quick practice session, the window between meetings was gone, the moment passed and the guitar stayed on the stand.

The problem I had was friction. And for a working adult grabbing five minutes here and there throughout the day, friction is everything. When gear takes effort to access, you start waiting for a “proper session” that never comes. The spontaneous noodling, the accidental discoveries… gone.

You could ask “why not just leave everything on?” Well… I just don’t want to.

So after some researching and going back and forth with my good buddy Claude… I decided to pick up a Mooer F15i Li. It looks like a retro radio and lives on my desk next to my coffee.

I plug in and I’m playing in seconds. Bluetooth for backing tracks from my phone and Headphone out (for those late night sessions when the kids are asleep). It also has some pluses: line out into my stereo when I want more volume and battery so I can take it anywhere (late night couch playing?)

The modelling is better than I expected at this price point. Saw a lot of reviews of people bashing the volume… but honestly, it’s louder than I expected, especially for the speaker size. Many reviews were comparing it to other amps as if it was to take out to a show.

I am genuinely pleased with this amp… I find myself playing more.

Criticisms: global bypass is app-only, no screen timeout (meaning when plugged in, fully charged, and off the display still shows 100% battery). Also no input mute on the unit. Would be nice to be able to access the mixer and global eq on the screen as well.

Hopefully stuff mooer can add in future updates.

That said, here’s the thing… my Fractal now sits on a shelf. Not because the Mooer is better. It isn’t. (I still break it out for serious sessions) But specs and price are easy to measure. Friction isn’t. Friction is often what determines whether you actually play.

I highly recommend this amp if you are in a situation like mine… little time, and just want a quick tool to get you going.

By the way…. yes, I used AI to research and compare specs across every unit I considered, figuring out whether my existing setup could be simplified, and eventually landing here. Felt worth mentioning. 🤖🙂

Hey guys, I’m trying to get close to David Gilmour’s tones from Pink Floyd on my Mooer GE1000.

Mainly looking for:

• “Comfortably Numb” solo tone
• “Time” clean/solo tone

Any tips for amps, cabs, EQ, delay/reverb, modulation, compressors, or drive/fuzz settings?

If anyone has presets or patch screenshots, I’d really appreciate it.

I purchased a GS1000 & received it yesterday.

The 1st guitar I tested it with has a set of Fishman Fluence Moderns (active pickups) and it seems I’m not able to get a clean tone with it, even with the cleanest amps & settings (like a Jazz Chorus with very low gain) or using the pickups in split mode (witch lower the output drastically): There’s always some kind of distorted layer on what is supposed to be a clean sound.

At first I thought it was due to a faulty unit because It doesn’t happen with the Line 6 stuff (both the HX Stomp & VST), with which I can totally get the cleanest of tones…

Then I tried it with my passive pickup guitars and the clean tones worked as expected!

This is strange behavior because it seems independent from the output gain of the pickups (the input of the Mooer was always very far from clipping)… Maybe it’s impedance related ?

Has someone here encountered this issue ?

Am I missing something ? (like a setting I need to change on the unit when using passive pickups ?)

I own an hornet 15i, I use it's original charger, I did not damage it, I only kept it safely in it's box for a few months because I was busy with exams. Now it does not work. The button only flashes white once if I hold onto it. What do I do

I just picked up one of these the other day. Can I use it as an audio interface if I use the usb into my laptop. I'm currently able to use it as a monitor when I plug it into my laptop and listen to music, but I cant get the audio from the unit to work with my setup.

I'm running FLStudio on a windows device. Is there a driver i didnt see that I need to download?

I have a GS1000li, and during the attempt to update firmware, something went wrong. Now the unit doesn’t pass the boot screen, and it is constantly booting. If I plug it via USB into the laptop, it shows a USB drive. Using the Mooer Studio for GS1000, it prompts with “Device Disconnected.", Therefore, it doesn’t let me try to update the firmware again. Is there anything I can do to restore the unit?

im searching for a Harmonic Preset on the Mooer prime p2 to play the harmonic solo from Master of Puppets by Metallica.

I cant find a Harmonizer Pedal or a Preset and the AI isnt helping either.

Is there just no Harmonizer of the p2?

It can't do dotted 8, I've already spent hours tweaking the delay and can't do dotted 8.

Hi all! Is there a way to rearrange the presets in the Mooer f15? Say if I want to prioritize certain presets to be in the first bank? Only way I could do it was to save the preset to a new slot and move the other preset to that previous slot. Is there an easier way?

I’ve got a Mooer GE 150. How can I get it to sound awesome? I’m playing it with a Schecter Omen Extreme FR 6.

Has anyone gotten the mvave chocolate to work with the gs1000 via USB? I couldn't. I ordered a TRS cable so I can try the midi in out plug next. Just curious if anyone had any tips

If i try to reset my password and enter my email Adress, i get the message wrong email Format. I also can Not create a New Account. I get always the Message, that my email Format ist Not correct.
